Ultimate ACWW Fishing Project

Aloha, Lungfish!
Yo. I have a theory for ACWW, that every fish has a shadow that is different in some way. For instance, tuna look sorta like sea bass, but are bigger and rounder. I suppose TTers would be needed for this. A very acruate discription would be needed, or a picture would be better. Think about it though! This is a new generation for ACWW fishers! If this is succsessful, we could tell what each fish is before we catch it!We would know what to scare away, and what to keep! This could be one of the greatest gaming discoveries of all time!

well, not a bad idea, but not a good idea.

For In-game fishers, would be an ok idea
For Real life fishers, they don't know whats on the fishing hook, at all.

So their is 2 points of view in this :/

That's why I'm doing this.ACWW is not real life. T_T It helps people playing ACWW who only sell fish priced over, say, 1000 bells, like myself. It would also help people get the golden rod.( Plus, in real life, my dad can tell what almost any fish is. He's a good fisherman. Even before it's caught.)

Not really here.
I don't think all of the are different, I think some look the same, and it is luck on what it is. Anyway, here are some:

Red Snapper - Medium
Arapaima - Large
Eel - Thin, Long

Ah, right, the mighty eel. I think, the eel and tuna are some of the most distinct fish. Also, I've caught enough snappers to know that they are around a bit larger that a football fish, which is around the size of a dab. If you've caught an eel before, you'll know if you've found another.

Clownfish & Seahorse are the exact same shadows. Sometimes a Shark shadow will be smaller than a Hammerhead's shadow, and the hammerhead is half as big as the shark. So, as you see, it's a bit tricky when some of the sizes are way off. Really, I don't see how this'd help that much, when half of the fish have an exact same shadow as another, or there is a screwed up length. And you could just catch fish ingame until you figure out their size..

That's the one problem with my theory, Nick. It also appears that the same fish will have a "set" of shadows. This is also why I think pictures would be best. But I think certain fish, have little or no other shadows. Like tuna. I think tuna have only three or so shadows. A bit larger than a sea bass, the size of a marlin, but not as thin and a little fatter, or something that looks almost percisely like a string fish.
