Night Terror
I've never taken part in a single-RPG before. Well I've done one, but it was not very inviting to new players and consisted of a single sign up thread and a single rpg thread. So if you can provide any links Mr Glove, to forums where they are run, so I can take a look i'd much appreciate it.
If we can get everything we need organised first, then I think I can pester Joe for a new sub-forum, or failing that, the next higher authority Jess/Virtual Headache. This kinda answers the "where should we have it?" question. It's for this forum, so it should stay here. If we make a new forum for it, then it would just look like we're trying to make a new forum to lure people away.
Ideally, a basic plot would be a good start, but the development of that can stay here and stay private so regular members don't know it. A topic breakdown like this would be an idea:
Sticky: Rules
- Every forum needs rules!
Sticky: Region
- Where confirmed details of the region go
Sticky: Pokedex
- Where confirmed pokemon go. 1 pokemon per post, so they can be edited to add new details.
Sticky: Strat Dex )
- Moves, abilities, new types(?), etc would go here
Pokemon Ideas
- Just a general thread where people throw out ideas. Not for people to say "here's one I deisgned, I hope you use it, it's called mewthree blah blah blah ego ego ego" but just to come up with ideas, critique others, etc. If enough people like an idea (say a 'ghost badger'), then we open a new thread:
Current pokemon development (Ghost Badger)
- A single pokemon is developed up to a point. Name, description, types, moves, dex enties, etc. The ideas topic continues (maybe have a waiting list in the first post) but in this thread the individual pokemon is developed more. Doesn't have to be completely detailed, as we can work out the more indepth stuff like stats and stuff when there are more pokemon in the Pokedex.
Rather than have loads of topics for every subject, change them around now and again. Have 3 months of working on pokemon, then move on to moves and abilities for a change, to let people settle and get more ideas over time.
EDIT: Also, I've been chatting to Dias, who's bored with his mundane life of feeding ducks in the park and flirting with cheerleaders, and is eager to get back into RPGing. I think he'd do well here, so I'm suggesting we let him in here too.
