When I was around six years old, I believe that I ran into a shiny once. Confused and possibly scared, I think that I turned off the system.

I remember finding out shellder was purple not orange, something I knew but never quite clicked in with, I'd had a shiney sitting in box1 for months before I realised!

WHen i ran into a shiny in Platinum, but RIGHT when i got my starter, meaning no poke balls, I had to kill Shiny Bidoof haha
