Union room help!

Got a question. Actully two questions. In the union room when you register a pokemon for a trade and you put down the type you want, what do you have to do next? Wirelessly link with someone with the adapters? The woman there says something about another trainer will come and want that pokemon you registered for the type you want. Well, today I went into the union room and registered my Zapdos;145; and chose Ice type and I did'nt know what else to do. Whenever I leave the place and return the pokemon I registered is gone. Can anyone help me? Also, How do you get trainers into the union room with you? I saw pictures of it on this site and on the back of the box I got my FireRed in. I believe this happens when you link with people wirelessly. This is all in my FireRed version. Can someone help me please?

1. Yes. You will be contacted by other trainers who agree to your trade and then the trade is as normal form there. Do not leave before you have traded.

2. Yes. Link up wirelessly with other people, and there will be trainers in the union room.

Yes. You have to wait for another trainer to look at the board, and to decide to trade with you, at which point you will get a message like: J wishes to trade with you. Pokemon A for Pokemon B. Ok?

You have to be playing near someone else that's playing. The range on the wireless adapters is about 30 feet.

People from around the world won't magically appear in the Union Room. Your GBAs have to be within range of each other. So you'll wait forever unless there's someone actually playing.
