When I saw the thread title I thought Remoraid to Octillery.

Clamperl to Huntail/Gorebyss is also another abstract one.

Clamperl might have some roe characteristics, it all makes more sense that way.

thanks! anyways for clamperl...I just saw its affinity with it evolutions as being deepsea creatures considering that i don't think chimeras lay eggs...a moray/ gulper eel however is another story...

Well, Feebas is supposed to be more symbolic than it is biologically consistent. I think its based off of the story of the ugly ducking. Remoraid, i'm not sure about, I would have to look into that more.

Why? At the moment, all even-numbered generations have give us some Eeveelutions in one form or another. Maybe they'll even cover all 17 types someday. That would be interesting.

The first that comes to mind is Probopass, Rhyperior and Magmortar. Sinnoh went overboard with all these pointless evolutions and in my opinion their pre-evolved forms were better design-wise. I still think Nosepass deserved a much better evolution.

Still, as most said, their pre-evolved forms can be given even more usage thanks to Eviolite.

Most of the 4th generation's evolution to older Pokemon. Most of them look like crap in my opinion, and many of them are just annoying, pointless extras. A slight stat boost? We can survive without it, Game Freak.

Other than that, I think the 5th Generation has many 1st evolutions that are forgettable, and could might as well evolve into their last form right from the start. For example, Gothorita, Duosion, Vanillish, Klang and Eelektrik.

I thought that Klang was a bit of a pointless midstage between Klink and Klingklang. Either that or remove Klink. I just thought that there wasn't enough difference between the evolutions to make it worth it.

Shedinja was just utterly pointless. It's basically crap unless the opponent is a freaking water-type specialist. Plus, it's blah.

On the contrary to some posts, I hated Slowbro. I wish they had just introduced Slowking in Gen. 1 (unless I'm mistaking that Slowking is Gen. 2?)

Bellossom. Vileplume was just fine. :/

Don't know why Slowking exists. :/

Give Drizzle to Poliwrath and get rid of Politoed.

I honestly do not see a point for raichu. i mean, everybody loves pikachu so much whats the point of having an evolution with the same ability and limited to 1 more move after evolution? in fact, all stone evolution pokemon i find pointless. my opinion is to just get rid of the stones, and have them evolve at a LEVEL, so they can actually learn real moves. not just thunder on raichu, not just 4 moves on wigglytuff, and not just 1 extra for arcanine. Stone evolutions just seem pointless.

i could not agree with you more with the sinnoh point, i hate looking at my pokedex and seeing my most hated pokemon EVER: Togekiss and Ambipom. They ruined Togetic and Aipom. I mean what the hell is togekiss? an 'effing blimp!? and ambipom!!!!!!!!!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR! I HATE THAT THING SO MUCH! i remember when i first saw aipom years ago, and i was amazed. then the f**king a**holes released Ambipom. gosh that pokemon gets me angry

Eevee can use Rocks like in DPP. Fire rock for flareon, Thunder Rock for jolteon, Water Rock for Vaporeon since, lets face it, they are the only pokemon evolving from Eevee who evolve from stones.

Poliwag can just evolve. have gamefreak remove politoad.

Gloom can just die in a hole. remove Bellosom, and have vilebloom evolve from gloom during the day if friendship is high enough. that solves 3 problems.
