Upcoming Important Battles Predictions Thread

The rivalry can have closure post league. It's always the same thing, I'd like something new for a change. I don't think it's that unlikely for the rivalry to go beyond the league, there has never really been much of an opportunity to have the rival go past the league, considering a post league adventure is likely I see no issue with the writers doing something different especially since the rivalry between Ash and Trip hasn't really had that much build up.

EDIT: Also, I don't see the issue with two newcomers making it further then a "veteran". Ash and Pikachu are the ones who's been all over the place, his other Pokemon don't have as much experience as those two so they aren't going to instantly be super strong. Just because Ash has been all over doesn't mean his Pokemon will have and easy time, and Trip and Bianca's Pokemon are in the same situation so they'd be more on equal grounds for the most part.

Trip could end up deciding to go beyond Unova, and the rivalry would not end post-league in a filler. I think the writers may just do that instead of having him only stay through the league or the filler.

Although it's possible for Trip/Bianca to end up going further than Ash (and different that what has happened before), I think it's more likely that Ash just goes further than one or both of them, and only faces one of them in a battle, specifically Bianca.

Ash facing Bianca in the 4th round, and Luke/Throh Guy in the 5th round for the loss to me probably makes more sense to me. I don't think Ash is going to go further in the league than before and may go 1 or 2 steps backwards.

Since we know all the outcomes of the Donamite Tournament except the champion, I guess I won t post matchups because we know about pretty much 99% of the tournament. For the champion, I could Masaomi winning. Isn't he/she a defending champion of the tournament? Then again, it doesn't seem that hard to see Stephan winning and that would be pretty cool.

I think I could see Scraggy being used in the Icirrus Gym unevolved and possibly even getting a win, especially if Brycen has a Cubchoo and/or Vanilite for whatever reason. He has Headbutt Leer, Hi Jump Kick and is going to be learning Focus Blast in BW072. Those are probably two of the most powerful fighting moves, so Ash not using Scraggy, evolved or not, seems kind of crazy.

I do have to wonder if maybe Boldore would be evolved by then and maybe be used as a Gigalith instead. That would be cool.

He already fought a Dragon gym leader once (way back in Johto) but he used Pikachu, Snorlax, and Charizard the second time around... So yeah, not many choices for Ash here to begin with though, but except for Snivy/Servine, all the Pokemon I choose Ash to use can have moves that are super effective against Dragons

I'd like it if Snivy was a Servine, but everything else works fine. Unfezant getting another gym battle is something I can definitly get behind.

I just have trouble seeing how Dewott will win against Haxorus at full strength, unless it get's Ice Beam of something.
