Using Japanese GB Games in American Stadium

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever attempted to use a Japanese Game Boy game, such as Green version, in a US version of Stadium or Stadium 2?

Conversely, do the US Game Boy games work in Japanese versions of Stadium? More specifically, would a US Red, Blue, or Yellow work in the Japan-only Pokemon Stadium?

No, since the US and Japanese GB games are not compatible, and allowing them into Stadium would be allowing them to trade.
