Using Unown in FF

Yeah, sure.

I'm going to be using Unown in my fic and am still in the development stages of their place in the Pokemon World, so I was wondering how other people have used them. Legendaries? Semi-Legendaries? A regular Pokemon that just has a whole bunch of forms? Taken even further, a collective mind (hive mind for you SF lovers out there) or individual minds? Individual powers or powers only accesible in a group? What kind of powers?

I was planning on just using them as regular Pokemon with Legendary powers when the twenty-four (or twenty-six) forms are together, but am still musing on it.

What are your thoughts?

WE ARE THE BORG. ASSIMILATE WITH US. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

I see the Unown as elusive Pokemon, unable to do much on their own, but when they're all gathered together--bam, it's the third movie all over again--you know, bending reality and whatnot. I like the idea of them having a hive mentality, personally. ^^

I plan on using them as a barrier which prevents us from entering into their world. They will be classified as "off limits" to trainers.

I think your plan sounds good - they're normal old Pokémon until they come together as one :D

I AM THAT IS
Make them mysterious and linked them to the story some how

Lol. XD THE BORG WISH TO ASSIMILATE YOUR SANDWICH.

As an addendum to my original question, how do you incorporate their two locations (game-wise) into the story? I mean, why two locations? Is there a secret underground tunnel? A teleportation sphere? What links the Ruins of Alph with Tanoby chambers?

That's something I haven't given any thought to, so I'd appreciate as many views on that as possible.

There's a third location in Diamond/Pearl--a bunch of ruins to the east of Hick Cowboy Vilage. It's sort of like the Ruins of Alph fused with Tanoby Chambers.

I would assume those spots are special locations that are probably, reality-wise, very "thin", allowing the Unown to slip from one dimesion to the other. :p

The vision of a Unown pokemorph just made me laugh

"Who are you?"

"Oh, hello, my name is Q."

*lol*

I actually like to think of them as normal catchable pokemon who are only powerful when they get together...

Unown are keys in one of my fics. To be more specific, they're all a single key to something that the characters end up having to find.
