UU-Team for Shoddy
Sprites from http://pokemonelite2000.com
First time I let my team rate.
The sets are standard for EV's (have no idea how to begin calculating it myself), but I gave the movesets a little twist of my own.
I have been testing it today, and the only problem was Raikou.
Maybe some of the experienced raters can give me advice on my weaknesses, little improvements,...
Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Male
Adament Nature (+Atk –Sp.A)
Ability: Technician
252 HP/ 252 S.Def/ 4 Atk
- Fake Out
- Bulk Up
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Punch
Bulk up boosts his defence and attack. With his awesome S.Def, he gets the chance to use it and then fire away with priority.
He can also be used as a revenge killer or sponge up some special attacks.
After testing, I am not too sure of Fake Out. It seems like he is missing some raw power if he can’t bulk up.
Nidoking @ Leftovers
Male
Modest Nature (+Sp.A –Atk)
Ability: Poison Point
4HP/252 Sp.A/252 Spe
-Substitute
-Earth Power
-Shadow Ball
-Ice Beam
I have been testing Nidoking in al kind of movesets: SubPuncher, physical attacker.
Now I have him as a special attacker. He is also useful for sponging up Toxic Spikes.
Substitute for scouting reasons when I know my opponent will switch.
Earth Power for Stab, Shadow Ball for (Levetating) Ghosts and Ice Beam for flyers.
I am thinking of placing SR instead of substitute.
Drifblim @ Petaya Berry
Female
Calm Nature (+Sp.D –Atk)
Ability: Unburden
80HP/252 Sp.D/176 Spe
-Substitute
-Baton Pass
-Shadow Ball
-HP Fighting
Standard Drifblim. Soaks up fighting attacks aimed at Absol, ground attacks aimed at Nido/Ninetales. Great team-player.
He passes huge substitutes to his team members and becomes dangerous when he can get the Petaya Berry-Unburden-Combo (and he gets it a lot!)
SB + HP Fighting = coverage
Ninetales @ Wide Lens
Female
Timid Nature (+Spe –Atk)
Ability: Flash Fire
4HP/252 Sp.A/252 Spe
-Hypnosis
-Sunny Day
-Fire Blast
-Solarbeam
Soaks up fire attacks aimed at Leafeon, and Will-O-Wisp’s.
Hypnosis to put his counter to sleep, sunny day for solarbeam (and Leafeons ability to lesser extent) and Fire Blast for Stab (and boosted in sun)
With Wide Lens, Hypnosis becomes more accurate and I can safely use Fire Blast. Kinda like a Typhlosion, but with Hypnosis instead of a Hidden Power.
Leafeon @ Salac Berry
Female
Jolly Nature (+Spe –Sp.A)
Ability: Leaf Guard
132HP/160 Att/216 Spe
-Leaf Blade
-Sword Dance
-Wish
-Baton Pass
He can set up, he can baton pass SD and he can give wish-support.
I am thinking of putting Yawn over Wish, so I can get more switches or synthesis in sun...
Absol @ Life Orb
Male
Adament Nature (+Att –Sp.A)
Ability: Super Luck
4HP/252 Att/252 Spe
-Sword Dance
-Sucker Punch
-Night Slash
-Fire Blast
Soaks up psychic attacks aimed at Hitmontop.
The set itself is standard. Fire Blast is for Steelix (not a big fan of Superpower)
