I'm voting for the Taunt set, I see no point in the Assault Vest set. He's a mixed attacker, not a tank. On top of that he's plenty bulky enough without it, and he'll sorely miss the extra power of a Life Orb.

If anything I've been considering a Choice Band set because STAB fully invested Dark Aura Sucker Punch coming off of 131 base Attack boosted by Choice Band is just insane. The problem is, that's like his entire physical movepool, and locking yourself into Sucker Punch often backfires.

Mild nature? Why not a naive or hasty one? We won't be able to outspeed certain things that yveltal might want to.

Erm no, Sucker Punch is most of the reason to use him, always OHKOing Mewtwo-Y, picking off frailer threats, and even taking upwards of 65% off of 252/252+ Arceus-Ghost (Calm Mind set, 252/0 takes 73-86%).

Again I point out that Yveltal's Sucker Punch is the strongest priority move in the game thanks to STAB, his good Attack stat, and Dark Aura.

I say Life Orb, don't want to get stuck to one move, and with Oblivion Wing HP will be recuperated.

I also say Sucker Punch and Dark Pulse

Dark Pulse is the second Best STAB move for an Yveltal, it is a special attacker, and so you want to run a Special dark move.
Sucker Punch too. The priority of this move makes it essential, it's also STAB.

Not a fan of Taunt on Yveltal, I just don't see it as a better option than Dark Pulse

Haha, I accepted defeat on the Taunt/Dark Pulse, but then other people started arguing for Dark Pulse.

Me and Blackjack did move on to a 3rd (and possibly 4th) Pokemon but I pulled it back to Yveltal as I thought there was still arguments to be made.

Btw my choice for 3rd poke is Ferrothorn
