To get people talking, maybe?
I mean, even if we think we know who these Ultra Beast are, we still have no idea what they are.

I mean, UB-01 still had me intrigued when I first saw it, but I haven't been able to get my mind off of it at all ever since I noticed its resemblance to Lillie. This is all just so crazy.

Nice shinys, I hops you guys don't mind if we make one of em our shiny mon. I really like all three!

leafeon.gif

Leafeon @Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Att / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
-Leaf Blade
-Knock Off
-Swords Dance
-X-Scissor/Synthesis

Suggesting this one for the Ground, Grass, and Water resist that poor Stunfisk is threatened by
Leafeon is a really strong Pokemon in PU with a great mix of stats being 65/110/130/60/65/95 it has great physical defense and some pretty dang good attack and speed to go along with it. It also has access to Chlorophyll, so on the off chance that your opponent has something with Sunny Day, you'll be hella quick. Leaf Blade is standard STAB for Leafeon, nice base 90 power WITH an additional boosted crit chance?! Heck yes. Knock Off is for pesky Pokemon that carry Lefties that can cause a major problem like Grumpig and even Gourgeist-XL, it's also great to use on any Pokemon in this tier due to Mega Stones not being a thing in it! Swords Dance is great for boosting that Attack stat to become even more threatening, especially if you send Leafeon out on a Pokemon like Golem or Floatzel who have trouble dealing with Leafeon's amazing defense stat. X-Scissor is for coverage against Dark/Psychic/Grass types and slashed Synthesis for immediate recovery, I mean you may need it when using Life Orb!

479M-3.gif

Rotom-Frost @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Blizzard
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

Rotom F is a strong opponent in the pu meta game. It can cover a lot of stunfisk counters as well as switch and scout a guys team with the choice scarf set I have right here. Blizzard its main stab is not the most accurate move but it will get the job done taking out the golems and leafeons we dont want

tangela-3.gif

Tangela @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Sleep Powder
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]

(other moves: Sludge Bomb, Ancient Power, Stun Spore)

Forms a Regenerator core with Audino and has some nice synergy with Stunfisk, resisting water and ground while Stunfisk resists poison and flying. Due to Eviolite, Tangela can afford to run max special attack instead of more bulk. Sleep Powder offers some nice utility by punishing switches, max special attack Leaf Storm hits like a truck, Giga Drain is consistent stab with the added recovery bonus, and HP Fire is coverage, hitting Grass, Bug, Steel types. Stun Spore is another option, providing some nice speed control. Ancient Power hits fire and flying types while Sludge Bomb hits opposing Grass types harder and can spread poison.

PU Viability Rankings

Audino @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Double-Edge
- Encore

Stunfisk @ Leftovers
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Discharge
- Earth Power
- Toxic

Super aesthetically pleasing, are the three nominations made for this round; Leafeon, Rotom-F, and Tangela!
First off is a very simple set up sweeper that can dismantle weakened teams in Leafeon, plainly speaking, its offenses and speed are really quite enough to weaken teams sufficiently if not outright sweep them after the Swords Dance boost and Life Orb. If it can't quite get the job done, it's Knock Off can annoy an opposing team really darn well. It's physical defense means it can take a hit or two from that side, which is deff nice! X-Scissor provides just a smidge more coverage so that it can immediately dispatch Cacturne, but Synthesis can help keep it healthy in the face of a sponged hit, LO recoil, or even hazards. Then we have Rotom-F; one of PU's more prominent scarfers. Access to the coveted BoltBeam coverage is definitely a playing factor in its ascent to its high usage, especially so in the fact that it gets STAB in both. Providing a momentum generator to get our other mons in safely and just threatening in general with its offensive game and scarf boosted speed make it a very reliable member. Lastly, we have Tangela! This ball of vines is thick with defenses and this is especially so with Eviolite in its grasp! It forms the annoying Regenerator core with Audino so that it may pivot in and out and provides us another layer of defense. Whilst doing so, it can blast away at teams with its Leaf Storm and offensively oriented spread. Not only that, but potentially incapacitating an opponent with Sleep Powder is very nice.
Each mon look very nice for our team! It's up to you to decide which one deserves it more though, so go right on ahead and vote!

Looks like the rankings shifted a bit but now Cacturne is S Rank. Check em out if you got the time!

So the first Pokemon Generations episodes are out.

Why'd all those legendaries keep feeling the need to pop out of nowhere just to pick on Pikachu? What a bunch of jerks.

Audino @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Double-Edge
- Encore / Thunder Wave / Heal Bell

suggesting the best special tank and wish passer in PU
So this is p basic Audino in PU. It's by far the best Wish passer in the tier due to having Regenerator and high HP and defenses. Wishtect is almost always going to be on this guy, Double-Edge is it's best move by far and since it's attacks stats are an even 60/60 you can use attack just as well as special attack. It can be used to finish off less bulky/frail Pokemon or you can trick an opponent into thinking you'll wishtect or switch the next turn and BAM. Double-Edged like that. Encore is to provide safer switch-in opportunities by predicting status moves or the like, slashed Heal Bell for the amazing party status heal and Toxic for those pesky sashed Shedinjas, or to just whittle down an opponents HP/status them if you can't hit them, it's especially good against Dusclops/Dusknoir. Overall, working around Audino is quite easy due to it's Normal type and superb defensive abilities, with no Megas in this tier, there's not much to worry about. Especially since Machoke just got the banhammer. The only other Fighting type is Monferno, and it doesn't see too much use due to being hella frail. Other than that we'll need a Pokemon to break through Pokemon like Probopass and Mawile who totally wall and counter our lovely little nurse.

stunfisk.gif

Stunfisk @ Leftovers
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Discharge
- Earth Power
- Toxic

Speakin of pulverized pancakes, here comes PU's premier physical wall; Stunfisk! The EV spread is for an odd number of HP and the speed is to outspeed Hippopotas by 2 points. Really feelin Stunfisk would work great with Audino as she can take on the special moves that would really threaten Stunfisks' safety and Stunfisk can soak up physical attacks such as Monfernos Close Combat, Dodrios Brave Birds, and the like and threaten them with the Static chance. Which is especially important as anything physical will be especially reluctant to click an offensive move with the paralysis chance lurking. A rocker, Discharge to further increase para chances and and Earth Power to round out coverage for opposing Electric types, Steel types, and Rock types especially for Audino. Toxic can work extremely well with Audinos wishing for obvious reasons. Really, i'd say both of them form a pretty unique defensive core. You'd be surprised at just how tanky this flapjack is.

tangela-3.gif

Tangela @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Sleep Powder
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]

(other moves: Sludge Bomb, Ancient Power, Stun Spore)

Forms a Regenerator core with Audino and has some nice synergy with Stunfisk, resisting water and ground while Stunfisk resists poison and flying. Due to Eviolite, Tangela can afford to run max special attack insthead of more bulk.

At first glance, this unsuspecting and interesting-looking mass of vines with only visible eyes and legs would make you think it's only good for looking like it'd rather run away then stand and fight. However, you'd be wrong there! Tangela is thick with natural physical defenses and this is only further bolstered by having Eviolite in its clutches. Since we have pretty effective walls in Audino and Stunfisk already this allowed Tangela to forgo dedicating itself entirely to the cause of taking hits and instead made it go for the more offensive route. It's Leaf Storm/Giga Drain combo handily gives you the option of Grass STAB to use at your discretion, giving us another way of dealing with Rock and bulky Grounds that would use Audino for their own devices such as Golem, Relicanth, opposing Stunfisk, and even Crustle. HP Fire is fine coverage alongside it as it means the likes of Pawniard, Fire Blast-less Mawile, and opposing bulky grass types feel the burn coming from Modest max investment. Lastly there's Sleep Powder to potentially take a mon out of the match for good and give our others mons and itself more leeway. Forming a Regenerator core with Audino is as sweet as it sounds as it means they can take more hits for the each other and the team. Let's not forget the synergy both Tangela and Stunfisk share with each other as well.

Be warned though, remember that Tangela is meant to gun and run mostly. While it can definately take a physical hit or two, it's special defense is mostly lacking and will likely fail to save its hide in the face of strong special attacks such as Floatzels Ice Beam and because it's packing so much heat, don't be surprised if a +2 physical neutral hit from most of PU's attackers leave it reeling. This is of course, in exchange for its enhanced offensive capabilities, which turn Tangela into an effective tank. Remember now, like any mon, if played right, Tangela can deffo leave your opp frustrated! DONT FORGET

That's a lotta bulk we're packin now!
Maybe we should balance it out with a few dedicated offensive dudes? Or a hazard remover of some sort? Maybe both at once? Maybe you know? Maybe you should suggest!

Cause they see this sick new style and want in. At least Lugia was pretty nice!
