Round 1 Votin

Let the Winter Storm charm your hearts and chill your souls.

ninetales-alola.gif

Winter Storm (Ninetales-Alola) @ Light Clay
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Aurora Veil
- Encore
- Hidden Power Fire
- Freeze-Dry

As our opening act, Alolan Ninetales paves the way for an offensive playstyle. Aurora Veil allows us to to bring in powerful sweepers such as Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard X, Mega Tyranitar, and Double Dance Zygarde to dismantle teams with ease. Ninetales can easily sway the momentum to our favor, with Encore forcing players to think twice about using certain moves, while allowing us to freely switch in other Pokémon with negligible damage with Aurora Veil backing us up. Ninetales also functions well as a rain check, as it can revenge kill popular rain staples such as Swampert and Kingdra, as well as Pelipper and Ferrothorn, all which take super effective damage from Ninetales.

mawile-mega.gif

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off

Sword dance plus huge power gives mega mawile the attact dmg to destroy anything that doesnt want it

Sucker punch is always needed to help take care of all pokemon that outspeed it

Spikes and sr is always needed to help mega mawile sweep

knock off helps to take care of ferro

pqBOUv6.gif

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sandstreamer
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SpDef
Jolliest Nature
- Dancing Dragon
- Ice Punchies
- Fire Punchies
- Stone'd Edges

The king of the Pocket Monsters has arrived! This "hit DD now" mon plows through unexpecting teams at early stages in the match or even late game. Hitting those fairy types that are expecting a Munchies (Crunch) with a powerful Stoned Edge :L And let's not forget. After one DD, this Godzilla look-a-like, wreaks havoc on the citizens of Tokyo mons of the Pokiverse. Fire and Ice Punchies make good coverage for the spammable Steel types and Lando users.

So what do ya say? How about voting for Team Zilla uh I mean Tyranitar!

tapulele.gif

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EV's: 252 spatk/ 252 speed/ 4 spdef
Timid Nature
-Psychic
-Moonblast
-Focus Blast/Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Fire

Here we have IMO the best Tapu, scarf Lele is a beast and does very well against offensive teams, Psychic is very easy to spam and with a 50% increase to psychic attacks under Psychic Terrain not many things can live a hit, It's ability alone is great not only the increase to psychic attacks by 50% but not allowing priority moves such as mega scizors bullet punch etc, MoonBlast there for it's 2nd Stab to hit dark types and Dragons, Focus Blast is there to deal with Heatran who would otherwise wall our beloved mon, Focus Blast can 2 hit KO a calm Nature Heatran that's 252 hp 252 spdef after stealth rocks, and has a 73.4% 2 hit KO without rocks, T-Bolt can be used to hit mons like Celesteela and bulky water mons, HP Fire is great to hit mons such as Scizor(mega) and Ferro, even max HP and SpDef careful nature is easily 2 hit KO by HP Fire

charizard-megax.gif

Charizard (M) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 208 HP / 84 SpD / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

This is a cool set that allows us to set up on defensive lando, offer a decent zard y answer. It is sets up on lots of physical attackers and might be a good way for us to experiment with new stuff.

Now here's a healthy assortment of mons to build around! From newly popular aurora veil offense advocate, to wallbreakers, to Dragon Dancing sweepers and revenge killers, we've got all sortsa fun things to vote on. Though conquer and afro, you should explain the EV spreads if you can! Just the speed will suffice. So people know what's goin on with em. Otherwise, thanks for suggestin, all!

Let's get down to it. The FIRST mon, the mon that'll start it all off, the mon'll that'll lead the direction our CCAT'll go! Which'll it be? Put in your vote to find out! Or not, I mean you'll find out anyways, but it'd be nice to see your say regardless.

T-Tar mega it is! DD T-Tar mega's viability has become a bit more apparent this gen due to its ability to threaten a lot of the metas more popular mons simply due to its monstrously powerful STAB, interesting coverage, and large bulk making it a challenge to revenge kill after +1. Popular fairies have helped to scare off fighting types so much, so the meta just favors this DD T-Tar a bit more as a result. The coverage ensures the more popular defensive walls/switch-ins such as Lando, Scizor, Tangrowth all feel some pain but we should also ensure T-Tar can break through bulkier teams without issue with the help of hazards and prior chip to mons that may refuse to faint from its attacks even when boosted. T-Tar is very bulky, yes, but its typing does leave it vulnerable to a plethora of weaknesses as well and it may not have the easiest of times setting up against more offensive teams, so it'd be best to set up on a mon that gets forced out or that can't quite hurt T-Tar to badly. While Jolly +1 Mega Tar does get quite a speed boost, we still want to be wary of choiced Fighting Types that care very little for T-Tars bulk such as Keldeo. Another mon to keep in mind is Lopunny-Mega which naturally outspeeds even after +1. Mons like these'll have to be dealt with appropriately before commiting to the sweep! Normally, T-Tar should be firin off attacks if it chooses to come in early and DD later on in the game when the opportune arises. Or depending on the team, it could punch holes early for somethin else! Let's see where we take this.

Okay then, time for that next mon!

Alolan Ninetales, as I had mentioned before, allows us to bring in powerful sweepers like MEGA TYRANITAR to dismantle teams with ease. Y'all should know what the moveset does by now.

This Pokemon complements Tyranitar very well as it not only allows it to set up in the face of anything, but it also won't damage our own sweeper with Hail, as Tyranitar will bring in its own weather into the fray. And once again, for good measure, Ninetales has a good matchup vs Rain, which might be a hindrance to Tyranitar, as Swampert resists everything.
