    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
    Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

There should be a link in the OP to the skarmbliss live tourney thread. You can win my RNGs just by participating. Plus it's great practice.

Mike already said they did it to line up with the TCG which has had 3 divisions for a while.

So far, no Unova mons have been released in the DW. They'll probably be released later on.

lol I meant Reshiram and Zekrom. I don't use emulators. :p

Did not now that about the TCGCs. I still like my theories, though. :)

im surprised that they are holding the VGC's this year at the same place as last year in NJ.but then again last year NJ regionals was the only place that filled up the capacity of masters anyways.i remember alot of people got turned down and some of the people from the 08 and 09 people were turned down.

Are there any tournaments on the Pokemon Online service that would count towards this? Since I pretty much don't have a team to compete with in the first place. XD;;

Hopefully I can get a makeshift team done to compete next week.

I'm so excited for this again. The location in Texas is wonderful, and I'm going all out this year. From the previous year, I only used my in game team, and barely made it to victory. Sadly I didn't win, but I learned a lot more after that.

Now, my competitive team is brand new, and not my in game team. I just got into EV training, and how it works, so my team members will be buffed up and ready to make it past round one this year!

All in all, I cant wait to have fun by competing.

Eh I don't think he is... I mean, haven't asked him or anything but it doesn't make sense. He already has his invite, might be going there just to hang out or something (I don't think he'd be able to participate even if he wanted to). Will just have to ask I guess.

You don't get payed for a full trip to World's. Its just like a 5-16 in Regionaals and Nats. You have to pay for yourself.

I'm sorry, I know some people are going to be mad at me but here it is. I am furious that they are only allowing 5th gen pokemon to this year's tournament. How can they cut off 4 generations of potential team members? I lost at the 2010 VGCs and created a much better team since then, only to find out that I can't use a single member due to not one of them not being a Unova native. Seriously, most of the Unova Pokemon didn't seem all that glamorous and battle-awesome this gen. And with the introduction of new abilities for old gen creatures thanks to the Dream World, you'd think that they'd allow all of them. Seriously, spice up the competition, don't limit it!

honestly I'm glad they didn't, that made for a terrible competitive game anyway. at least compared to what they had in 2008/2009, and imo 2011's metagame is also much better than 2010's was.

at least with unova only you don't have dumb bullcrap like dark void smeargle or auto weather (specifically rain). pretty good deal if you ask me.
