Video Game Anime

I saw this thread a while ago, but it's probably too old to bump. Anyway, what games would you like to see as an Anime?

Personally, I think a Mario anime would be very cool. The characters could all have personalities for a change, but one thing I'd change is give the story "arcs". Instead of Bowser always being the bad guy, maybe for an arc the bad guy is some other Mario villian, like Smithy or the Shroobs. I could imagine Mario and Luigi being the main characters, with Wario being the "bad guy among good guys". I'd like a rivarly between Mario and Wario to develop kinda like Goku and Vegeta. Bowser would probably join on a few occasions, Yoshi would probably be there, maybe not Waluigi unless he is different enough from Wario to be interesting.

Zelda could be a great anime. I could imagine each arc being a game.

Yeah, the Mario and Legend of Zelda series have already been made back in the 1980s. They didn't do so well so I doubt they'd make a new show any time soon. Megaman was already several cartoons, too.

Don't forget Captain N and co. They had several Nintendo characters in. Point is that it's not a new concept. Doubt we'd see them as cartoons again aside from Sonic and Megaman.

Man, how about a Megaman X anime? The FMV's in 4-6 are awesome.

Castlevania... the plot in the actual series is pretty thin. They could make an anime to emphasize the plot.

How about a good Zelda anime? Face it, that old one sucked big.

lol Anime =/= American Cartoon. Mario and Zelda never had "Animes". Don't get the two mixed up, now. =)

Back to the point, I would love to see the Zelda series made into an anime. Especially since I'm a fan of the Manga. =P

...Just as long as 4kids stay the hell away from it, for I will stab them if they dub it. *pulls out one of Ganon's swords from WW* >_>

4kids has already ruined enough video game animes. :p

Maybe they could make an anime based on the Super Mario RPG games. That would be an easy one to make writing wise and could be very enjoyable if it isn't botched.

I'd like a Fire Emblem anime, that would be pretty cool. And can't forget Metroid, that would own souls. And, the one that would sweep the floor with them all: Zelda. A Zelda anime would definately be one of my favorites, as long as the writers have a decent story.

Though, dubbing on the other hand...

Super Mario RPG anime egh? I always wanted a anime series based on all the Mario RPG's. Especially a SuperStar Saga one. Fawful just plain rules. Richard Horvitz be great with his kind of character.

Zelda anime could work too I suppose. Metroid....that be a tough one since the show would basically revolve mainly on Samus the lone wolf hunter. But it could work.

Fire Emblem would probably be the best franchise that Nintendo could turn into an anime.

Geneon dubbed Viewtiful Joe, remember? I wish Nintendo wouldn't have 4kids dub their stuff like Pokemon and Kirby.

Is there a Tales anime? That would be awesomeness!

I thought I saw this before, but it was the video game movies thread.

An Advance Wars anime would be awesome imo. I was discussing it with someone on MSN a while back. Perhaps based on the AW2 storyline, but better? I'd really like to see an AW anime.

There was a Fire Emblem OVA if that counts. ;/

I'd like to see a Legend of Zelda anime that's adapted from the manga. The manga was good, unlike the cheap American TV series that was created by DiC.

True that. And not something like the 2 episode OVA (Though I've been trying to get my hands on it. XD) they had a while back. Something with tons of character development for ALL of the characters. (Support convos, please! :D) And they could either just have a series for each one of the games or even continue past the endings! It'd be nice for a connected Blazing Sword -> Sealed Sword anime... *dies at the thought of Pent, Matthew, etc. in animated form* XDD Though I think they need to get out official art for all of the Sacred Stones characters before they can do anything like that...

They do have a... 13 episode, I believe, Tales of Eternia OVA and a 4 episode Tales of Phantasia OVA. I'm more fond of the latter but that's only because Chester's in it. XD It does have prettier fights though... but it also crams the entire game's story into 4 eps.

Aww... Crap.
If I recall, there was a Mario Bros. OVA thing over in Japan a while back, can't remember where, but I've seen pictures of it on either Wikipedia or some random Mario Bros. site. I remember the charecters being really poorly drawn though. And it wasn't that Super Show crap.

But anyways, I'd say M&L:SS would make a great OVA, ...nuff said.
