Vigorth or Slacking

I was just wondering what the forumers opinions was concerning wehether I should evolve my ;288; in my emerald game, considering slacking has advantage of alot more power but the draw back of his ability, whilst vigorth has less power but his ability is an advantage.

If you don't evolve Vigoroth, you may as well just dump it and use Zangoose. There's no point in giving up a pokemon with Groudon-like stats for something like that. Just slap a Choice Band on it and never look back.

Definetly. It's attack is ridiculously amazing, and even despite its ability it is an awesome Pokemon. If you want a Vigoroth copy, see Zangoose.

Asking if you should evolve Vigoroth is like asking "Who's better? Alakazam or Mewtwo?"
Now, putting Vigoroth in the place of Alakazam and Slaking in the place of Mewtwo...

Slaking is stronger......but Vigoroth hasn't got Truant.....I choose Vigoroth(not that I use one of those 2 in my team)

I'd say go with Slaking. His ability may be lousy, but when it comes to power, he's a beast. I remember when I first started playing Sapphire, Norman was the toughest gym leader I fought since I had SO much trouble KO-ing his Slaking.

^^Same here. I think you should wait until Vigoroth learns good moves, and then evolve it. It's ability may be bad, but it's attack is rediculous, with a Choice Band. Or if you have two, evolve one into a Vigoroth and keep him that way and evolve the other into a Vigoroth and then into Slaking, that's what i did.

Slaking. Vigoroth is too weak. Bring on the Attack Power. Though risky, worth it.
