Name: Sumire Rheeds
Nickname: Morbid (only used discreetly by her best friend -cough- )
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Appearance:
Sumire is a woman with a lithe build that stands at 5’7. She has an oriental look to her; dark black locks of hair that are straight as a ruler and smooth as silk drip to her shoulders and stop three inches afterwards at the middle of her chest. Her bangs are layered with a soft airy feel to them and her hair seems soft yet silky at the same time. Her skin is like pale moonlight, but isn’t ghostly white and has a slight tan to it making it seem healthy too. Sumire doesn’t bother taking good care of her skin but it doesn’t have blemishes either and appears quite clean. Her body is flexible and she has an elegant way of walking that is almost cat-like. Her face has a haughty feel to it as if she's looking at you from above and has a noble feel to it. Her eyes are amber brown and fit her face perfectly without looking too large or too small.
Sumire’s clothes vary, but usually she wears a dark blue top that is sleeveless. It fits the curves of her body and has a high collar. Her hands are covered in long gloves made a nylon type of material and are black in color. The gloves extend about 3 to 4 inches above her elbow and are the fingerless kind. Her shorts are plain white and are two inches above her knees and her legs are fitted with long black boots that almost go to her knees.
Personality:
Sumire is a rather confusing person to explain for she contradicts herself in various ways. As the leader of the Crystal Squad of Johto she appears to be a soft spoken woman yet she is a no-nonsense sort of person and is direct with her squadron. She rarely sugarcoats her words with them but often does tell little white lies and such to the higher ups to make them have confidence in her abilities. She detests niceties and polite words for it is rather bothersome and annoying to her, yet she still uses them to seem like a ‘nice’ kind of person. This doesn’t mean that Sumire is just a cold, ruthless woman who believes that victory is key (or is she?), but someone who stands for her ideals, even if her tactics are a bit harsh. She is a calculating woman who would do at nothing to stop at defeating Team Aqua, but at the same time she isn’t really considered ‘good’. Sumire doesn’t like crime in particular and despises what all the evil organizations have done, but often she uses tactics that make them no better than the ones used by the people she is trying to stop. Sumire can’t be considered a good person, but she isn’t an evil one either. She is just someone who believes in the ideals of the Guardians of Johto but uses her own ways of reaching the goal shared by others.
Sumire is human still and is not without a conscience. She is calculating and almost manipulative, but feels guilty when using these tactics. She wonders if she is doing the right thing and despite seeming like she is confident in herself, she sometimes is one of the most doubtful people. She is gentle in ways especially to children but has a stoic like-esque that sometimes unnerves people. In essence, she is a realistic person and believes that victory will be a long ways ahead. Also, her squadron might feel really nervous around her presence do to her harsh exterior, and Sumire considers her squadron her top responsibility. Sometimes she puts away her own selfishness to give the people extra breaks and respites. Often when her squadron is hurt she feels guilt, but still acts as serious as possible. Somehow, she has earned people’s respects through the fact that she achieved victories for the Guardians of Johto. Sumire isn't very judgemental of others and bases people on their skill rather than personality.
History:
Sumire was born in Goldenrod City, in Johto just when her parents were going through a messy divorce that ended up with Sumire staying with her father who moved to Olivine City. Her parents were relatively wealthy, but her mother rarely visited her when she was little and her father was ‘never around much’. Sumire became a lonely, yet independent child who was guided by an old woman hired by her father to look after her. She grew up in the seaport city and called it home, but never really felt that she truly belonged at all. She rarely left the house and gazed at the cliffs as a source of entertainment. All that changed when her mother came back into her life when she was 4. Her mother, flamboyant and just married, whisked her away to Saffron City in Kanto. Her mother and stepfather were always partying, always traveling and often left her neglected at home. It was basically the same thing as in Olivine, only a bigger house and no nana to take care of her. Soon Sumire just let the house to find people or Pokémon to play with. Despite being a child she pretty much knew who she shouldn’t talk to and who should be avoided. Usually Sumire just wandered the streets and enjoyed the feel of the big city around her, it made her feel that she was just one of the many hundreds of people living in Saffron and somehow felt that she belonged.
When she turned 5, everything changed drastically. She was sent to a boarding school that had uniform attire and came home only on weekends and holidays. The school was both for boys and girls and Sumire soon befriended a boy called Riku. The two became close friends and shared similar pastimes like gazing at the stars and Riku also shared her sort of life-a life without caring parents. Life continued on like normal and soon she was a teenager. She and Riku would walk down the streets on weekends in Saffron looking for sweets or new arcades to try out, and Sumire was happy. She finally had someone to share time with her and the two were close friends. Pokémon also interested Sumire, she never had a Pokémon before and Riku didn’t have on either. Sumire was intrigued with Pokémon and loved to watch them. When she turned 13, Pokémon around the world started disappearing at a record-breaking pace. Scientists buzzed with news and the event was open in conversations and debates in Sumire’s school. Sumire herself was interested in these disturbances, and one day when she was looking outside the window of her school, she spotted something shiny. After the bell rang, she quickly went to the school garden and found a crystal. Quickly, she put it in her pocket and told only Riku about it. Both teens didn’t think it contained anything special, but that was a far cry from what happened.
Soon Saffron City was made unstable when Saffron was being secured under Team Rocket. The boarding school she went to was temporarily closed so she went back to her house alone. A call from her mother told her that she was stuck in the SS Anne heading for Slateport and told to go to her father in Olivine in Johto. This wasn’t such a problem since Team Rocket hadn’t completely taken over the city or closed the bullet train going to Goldenrod City along with the fact that Sumire still had money from last month that had been sent by her mother (she got allowances for staying at home from her mother every month). She along with Riku (whose family had contacted him from Sinnoh saying they couldn’t pick him up either) left for Goldenrod on the bullet train. The two found chaos in Goldenrod when the city was just under the process of getting taken over by Team Aqua. The two fled and got to Olivine safely, but Team Aqua was taking over the city too. Riku lived with Sumire in her father’s house and her father still was too busy with his business to bother with Sumire or her friend. The two would often just go to arcades or watch a movie. Those had always been favorite pastimes for them, but Team Aqua became more and more arrogant after they took over the city. Sumire still had the crystal, but didn’t really know what to do with it. Riku liked the color of it and kept it in his pocket sometimes as a lucky charm. Team Aqua was hated in the city for what they did, but no one could stop them. Except for minor changes, the city still functioned. People went on their life as usual, but there was a fear. A fear that they were just little ants that could be crushed by Team Aqua if any of them rebelled.
Then it happened. Blackthorn and Ecruteak City were freed and there was even talk about Olivine being freed as well. Sumire for once, wanted to do something to help the cause. She did not like Team Aqua and like the ideals of the rebellion. Her hopes rose when Olivine was freed from Team Aqua’s control as well and quickly joined as a new recruit. Riku didn’t want to join stating in a joking sense that he ‘would rather live a jolly life than get killed’. So Sumire joined alone and found out that the crystal was a Ninetales Vendix. She quickly rose up the ranks, but soon she realized that freedom wasn’t that easy. Or that life was fair in the matter. She quickly adapted and became tougher, stronger, and she changed to be, in a sense, harsher. She changed and quickly rose up the ranks to become leader of the Crystal Squad. Although she still keeps in touch with Riku, they don’t have much to talk about and rarely play games anymore. Often he jokes that she is too 'morbid' for him, earning her the nickname that she rather despises.

I used the Diamond/Pearl pokedex for the information and attacks. Sorry if it feels a bit odd or rushed. I did this after ready 4 hours of my AP European Civ. book and after an hour of Chemistry which is pure torture. ;_;
My RPGing skills are still quite rusty xD;;;
