Kat:

Sure I'll reserve the Silver Squad position.
Response to question 1: Who are you planning to be related to? The only characters from the games/show on here are the bad guys. I guess being the son/daughter of a gym leader is possible as well. I'll let that roll I guess, just as long as there's no Ash, Misty, Brock, Gary, etc.
Response to question 2: Yeah, that is possible.

Thanks. As for the question one thing, I was planning on being related to Clair of Blackthorn (possibly, have a few other ideas now floating around)

Crystallized decay
Name: Sumire Rheeds
Nickname: Morbid (only used discreetly by her best friend -cough- )
Gender: Female
Age: 23

Appearance:

Sumire is a woman with a lithe build that stands at 5’7. She has an oriental look to her; dark black locks of hair that are straight as a ruler and smooth as silk drip to her shoulders and stop three inches afterwards at the middle of her chest. Her bangs are layered with a soft airy feel to them and her hair seems soft yet silky at the same time. Her skin is like pale moonlight, but isn’t ghostly white and has a slight tan to it making it seem healthy too. Sumire doesn’t bother taking good care of her skin but it doesn’t have blemishes either and appears quite clean. Her body is flexible and she has an elegant way of walking that is almost cat-like. Her face has a haughty feel to it as if she's looking at you from above and has a noble feel to it. Her eyes are amber brown and fit her face perfectly without looking too large or too small.

Sumire’s clothes vary, but usually she wears a dark blue top that is sleeveless. It fits the curves of her body and has a high collar. Her hands are covered in long gloves made a nylon type of material and are black in color. The gloves extend about 3 to 4 inches above her elbow and are the fingerless kind. Her shorts are plain white and are two inches above her knees and her legs are fitted with long black boots that almost go to her knees.

Personality:

Sumire is a rather confusing person to explain for she contradicts herself in various ways. As the leader of the Crystal Squad of Johto she appears to be a soft spoken woman yet she is a no-nonsense sort of person and is direct with her squadron. She rarely sugarcoats her words with them but often does tell little white lies and such to the higher ups to make them have confidence in her abilities. She detests niceties and polite words for it is rather bothersome and annoying to her, yet she still uses them to seem like a ‘nice’ kind of person. This doesn’t mean that Sumire is just a cold, ruthless woman who believes that victory is key (or is she?), but someone who stands for her ideals, even if her tactics are a bit harsh. She is a calculating woman who would do at nothing to stop at defeating Team Aqua, but at the same time she isn’t really considered ‘good’. Sumire doesn’t like crime in particular and despises what all the evil organizations have done, but often she uses tactics that make them no better than the ones used by the people she is trying to stop. Sumire can’t be considered a good person, but she isn’t an evil one either. She is just someone who believes in the ideals of the Guardians of Johto but uses her own ways of reaching the goal shared by others.

Sumire is human still and is not without a conscience. She is calculating and almost manipulative, but feels guilty when using these tactics. She wonders if she is doing the right thing and despite seeming like she is confident in herself, she sometimes is one of the most doubtful people. She is gentle in ways especially to children but has a stoic like-esque that sometimes unnerves people. In essence, she is a realistic person and believes that victory will be a long ways ahead. Also, her squadron might feel really nervous around her presence do to her harsh exterior, and Sumire considers her squadron her top responsibility. Sometimes she puts away her own selfishness to give the people extra breaks and respites. Often when her squadron is hurt she feels guilt, but still acts as serious as possible. Somehow, she has earned people’s respects through the fact that she achieved victories for the Guardians of Johto. Sumire isn't very judgemental of others and bases people on their skill rather than personality.

History:

Sumire was born in Goldenrod City, in Johto just when her parents were going through a messy divorce that ended up with Sumire staying with her father who moved to Olivine City. Her parents were relatively wealthy, but her mother rarely visited her when she was little and her father was ‘never around much’. Sumire became a lonely, yet independent child who was guided by an old woman hired by her father to look after her. She grew up in the seaport city and called it home, but never really felt that she truly belonged at all. She rarely left the house and gazed at the cliffs as a source of entertainment. All that changed when her mother came back into her life when she was 4. Her mother, flamboyant and just married, whisked her away to Saffron City in Kanto. Her mother and stepfather were always partying, always traveling and often left her neglected at home. It was basically the same thing as in Olivine, only a bigger house and no nana to take care of her. Soon Sumire just let the house to find people or Pokémon to play with. Despite being a child she pretty much knew who she shouldn’t talk to and who should be avoided. Usually Sumire just wandered the streets and enjoyed the feel of the big city around her, it made her feel that she was just one of the many hundreds of people living in Saffron and somehow felt that she belonged.

When she turned 5, everything changed drastically. She was sent to a boarding school that had uniform attire and came home only on weekends and holidays. The school was both for boys and girls and Sumire soon befriended a boy called Riku. The two became close friends and shared similar pastimes like gazing at the stars and Riku also shared her sort of life-a life without caring parents. Life continued on like normal and soon she was a teenager. She and Riku would walk down the streets on weekends in Saffron looking for sweets or new arcades to try out, and Sumire was happy. She finally had someone to share time with her and the two were close friends. Pokémon also interested Sumire, she never had a Pokémon before and Riku didn’t have on either. Sumire was intrigued with Pokémon and loved to watch them. When she turned 13, Pokémon around the world started disappearing at a record-breaking pace. Scientists buzzed with news and the event was open in conversations and debates in Sumire’s school. Sumire herself was interested in these disturbances, and one day when she was looking outside the window of her school, she spotted something shiny. After the bell rang, she quickly went to the school garden and found a crystal. Quickly, she put it in her pocket and told only Riku about it. Both teens didn’t think it contained anything special, but that was a far cry from what happened.

Soon Saffron City was made unstable when Saffron was being secured under Team Rocket. The boarding school she went to was temporarily closed so she went back to her house alone. A call from her mother told her that she was stuck in the SS Anne heading for Slateport and told to go to her father in Olivine in Johto. This wasn’t such a problem since Team Rocket hadn’t completely taken over the city or closed the bullet train going to Goldenrod City along with the fact that Sumire still had money from last month that had been sent by her mother (she got allowances for staying at home from her mother every month). She along with Riku (whose family had contacted him from Sinnoh saying they couldn’t pick him up either) left for Goldenrod on the bullet train. The two found chaos in Goldenrod when the city was just under the process of getting taken over by Team Aqua. The two fled and got to Olivine safely, but Team Aqua was taking over the city too. Riku lived with Sumire in her father’s house and her father still was too busy with his business to bother with Sumire or her friend. The two would often just go to arcades or watch a movie. Those had always been favorite pastimes for them, but Team Aqua became more and more arrogant after they took over the city. Sumire still had the crystal, but didn’t really know what to do with it. Riku liked the color of it and kept it in his pocket sometimes as a lucky charm. Team Aqua was hated in the city for what they did, but no one could stop them. Except for minor changes, the city still functioned. People went on their life as usual, but there was a fear. A fear that they were just little ants that could be crushed by Team Aqua if any of them rebelled.

Then it happened. Blackthorn and Ecruteak City were freed and there was even talk about Olivine being freed as well. Sumire for once, wanted to do something to help the cause. She did not like Team Aqua and like the ideals of the rebellion. Her hopes rose when Olivine was freed from Team Aqua’s control as well and quickly joined as a new recruit. Riku didn’t want to join stating in a joking sense that he ‘would rather live a jolly life than get killed’. So Sumire joined alone and found out that the crystal was a Ninetales Vendix. She quickly rose up the ranks, but soon she realized that freedom wasn’t that easy. Or that life was fair in the matter. She quickly adapted and became tougher, stronger, and she changed to be, in a sense, harsher. She changed and quickly rose up the ranks to become leader of the Crystal Squad. Although she still keeps in touch with Riku, they don’t have much to talk about and rarely play games anymore. Often he jokes that she is too 'morbid' for him, earning her the nickname that she rather despises.

Alliance:
Crystal Squad, Guardians of Johto
Other: She is the Crystal Squad leader for the Guardians of Johto.

The Black Glove

The Resident BAMF
Here it is! I hope you like it!

Character Information

Name: Daniel Sherwin

Nickname: The West Wind (more of a title really)

Gender: Male

Age: 27

Appearance: Daniel is tall and tanned, well seasoned for traveling outside and around the vast Kanto Region. His light brown hair is very short, but nowhere near bald. His blues eyes are filled with life, and his body is very lean and muscular from all this time spent climbing mountains and jumping through trees.

Daniel prefers to keep his attire simple- a black muscle shirt is all that covers his torso, and black bracers are worn on his wrists. His tan slacks are held up by his dark brown item belt, and a brown cloak is tossed over his shoulders like a cape, although it has a hood for rainy days. His shoes are boots, but he claimed the became "ninja-shoes" when he removed the toe, so it looks somewhat like a sandal. His Crobat Vindex crystal hangs around his neck, and his Infernape's Vindex is elsewhere... He also carries a guitar strapped to his back for disquising himself as a musician, and for entertaining his troops.

Personality: Like his Vindex Crobat, Daniel is a very jolly person, preferring to have fun and make joke than be so strict. As a result, he really loves poking fun at the uptight stick-in-the-muds of the world. A playful character, he is most commonly known for pulling out acrobatic stunts such as hanging upside down from seemingly nothing, climbing up cliffs, and, yes, jumping from branch to branch in trees.

Daniel is a bundle of energy, and when others are feeling down, he tries in every way to cheer them up. He always claims "a happy face is a sign of strength", which may have some grounds, as a motivated warrior always preforms better than an unmotivated one. However, his smile is only covering his wounded heart. Daniel is also very stubborn, as is seen in his history.

History: Our tale begins about 17 years ago. As a ten-year-old boy living in the north, not far from Pewter City, Daniel wanted the same thing as every other boy his age; to become a Pokemon Trainer who travels the world. His parent disaproved. The little boy threw a fit over it, and ran away from home. Behind him, he had left a note:

"Dear Mom and Dad,

I'm running away because I think I can be a better Pokemon Trainer than anyone else, and you won't let me! Don't bother trying to find me, I'll be long gone. but I promise to you, as a man, I will not return until I have caught a Pokemon.

- Daniel"

The kid kept his word, and sure enough, stayed out in the woods for 7 years. Luckily, he wasn't alone. The Pokemon of the forest stayed with him, keeping him alive and safe. He soon began to understand the gist of what they were saying, and then could ask thier help for certain things. The boy became popular with the forest Pokemon, as he was possibly the only human who had set foot in the forest and not captured one of thier friends.

The boy grew, and soon, grew out of his clothes. With the Pokemon's help, he collected nuts and berries, and traded them in a small, nearby village for clothes and tools. His life was out in the wild, and that's where he wanted to stay.

One day, he noticed that some of the Pokemon in the forest were missing. He could never find the source of the poaching, and day after day, another was gone. Daniel became very lonely, and was planning on jumping off the cliff. His friends were gone, and he couldn't go back to his family, so he felt no reason to live.

That was when a Staraptor flew overhead, and it looked in a hurry. It cried out, and Daniel yelped in suprise as the flying pokemon vanished into mid-air. However, it did leave somehing behind; a mysterious crystal that ebbed with a strange power in Daniel's hands. It felt very much like... a Pokemon!

Daniel, overjoyed that he had finally "caught" a Pokemon, rushed back to Pewter City. Such wonderful news! He would finally see his parents- huh? Who are the guys in black? And what are they doing with those vicious-looking Pokemon?

There was a struggle as the townspeople desperately tried to defend themselves, but it was a massacre. Daniel watched as his parents, people he had not seen in seven years, die in the fangs of an Arbok. That was when the crystal began to burn very hot, hotter than Daniel had ever felt in his life...

To make a long story short, Daniel had activated a powerful Infernape Vindex, something he is till not proud of. In an angry Monkey form, he had gone berserk with Embers and Flame Wheels, and forced back the Rocket Troops from the few remaining people. The Kanto Protectors immediately recruited him when they heard a single man took out a large squad of Rocket troops single-handedly. The boy trained hard, aiming to avenge the parents he had never truly loved, and was quickly promoted to the captain of the Yellow Squad for his survival knowledge, upon which date he recieved a Crobat Vindex.

Alliance: Yellow Squad, Protectors of Kanto

Other: Squad Leader of the Protectors of Kanto Yellow Squad. He often poses as a musician or mercenary to sneak inside enemy bases. He also uses Japanese suffixes.

It looks good...but there are a few minor things. One, there are no weapons (like firearms, swords, and all the jazz). Just edit that out is all. Two, Infernape doesn't learn Heat Wave and it doesn't learn Close Combat until level 41. You can let your character learn these moves (though not rapidly because these are powerful moves) as the role play progresses. Right now, only the attacks they naturally learn. Fix those things and you're in! ^_^

Ventus3

Waiting for summer
Name: Alice, Villa
Nickname: Luz (A Spanish word which means light, it can be used as a nick-name for Lucia)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance: Her face is oval in shape. Her hair covers most of her forehead because she has bangs; the color of her hair is a dirty blonde. Alice's hair is extensive, being controlled in a pony-tail and becoming a lighter blonde by the time the tip of it touches her mid-back. Alice's eyes are a dull, light blue, with a greyer ring near the iris. Her eyes possess a strange quality about them, as if she's calmly observing everything while she speaks to somebody. Alice's eyelashes are not very long naturally, meaning that without make-up, they are not extremely beautiful or extensive or anything of the sort. Her eyebrows are barely visible due to the fact that her eyebrow hair is blonde. The actual hair that is there is very little though, luckily due to her genetics. Her nose bridge straightly moves diagonally down to her nostrils which are medium sized. Her mouth possesses a natural dull pink color without lip stick, and her lips become a deeper shade of pink when licked or moist. Her mouth is not very wide, the jawline is not pronounced in a masculine or scary fashion, and just slightly comes out because of lack of muscle or fat around the mouth and lower head area.

Alice's skin possesses a slightly tanned tint which makes her look hispanic in origin. Her body is slightly lean, and she thus lacks a large chest due to her lean body and lack of body fat. Alice has slightly muscular, medium length arms. Her torso is the shortest part of her body, making her slightly short at about five feet and four inches. Her legs are slightly longer than her torso; they possess lean muscle, and fortunately lack fat. Her feet are narrow, but slightly long. Alice is normally seen in a black T-shirt which possesses a large triangle representing the locations of the three lakes in Sinnoh. She is also usually wearing a black skirt which falls to about an inch above the knee, from there, she usually wears black leggings which eventually lead to her black tennis shoes. This seems to be ironic for somebody affectionately nick-named "Luz", but she is dubbed this name for other reasons that obviously do not involve her appearance (this is excluding her hair of course).
Personality: Alice is a rather shy person on the inside. This shyness is well cloaked by a harsh looking exterrior which shows a rather cruel version of her silence amongst others, her eyes forming an emotionless expression that would make any soul want to look away. This façade comes off around friends and family with whom she finally starts to talk towards, but rarely. Alice is kind and helpful when needed to be, and is usually the first to heal people. Of course, Alice is not always a person who has to be asked to do something such as heal or assist, Alice will sometimes do this of her own accord. Because she is so quiet, she usually hears a lot, of course, it's the only information that you will not get out of her. Alice will usually remain silent about what she has heard if it is a secret, but will tell if it is something that the others need to know, or if it's something un-important like for example: "so and so needs you to organize the people for some minor planning at three". In some oppinions, she seems like a secretarial person who is in a group to assist rather than to directly take action, which is why she has taken to the pearl squad instead of the diamond squad. She is wonderful at attacking people when she is angered with them, and she is very angry with Team Galactic, but she does not want to inflict damage herself, rather leaving it to the others to suffer whatever damage and merely clean it up for them. Basically, she would rather do the hard work than the actual "dirty work". Being extremely shy and unable to talk at times, she has a secret side that barely anybody cares about or seems to want to know, and so she hides it, only revealing her true self to herself, mostly singing beautifully to herself while nobody watches. Alice likes it that way, because she does not want anybody to hurt her or make her nervous while she does something.
History:
Alice was born into a bad situation. Her mom was a poor person who had nowhere to go, depending on random strangers to help her out of situations, she normally associated with bad people, drug dealers and various seedy denizens of Jubilife city. Alice lived in this dangerous life during her infancy, the good thing about it was that she does not remember that her mother was a horrid mother, normally treating her badly and punishing her for no apparent reason just because she was drunk almost every night. Eventually, this high-risk life-style for her mom led to the lady's death, she was found dead at a bar, with a large amount of prescription drugs and alcohol in her blood. Alice was sent to an orphanage in the middle of the mountains at the age of three, where the staff basically treated her like nothing special. Alice lived in this large, church resemblant setting near Jubilife until a strange, wealthy man adopted her. The last name of this man was Villa. Alice's original last name was Veranne, but she volunteerily changed her last name. Alice was adopted into the Villa house-hold at the age of seven. She was taken to a rather large estate which possessed a garden chocked full of Pokemon. Alice was afraid to go in there, but eventually went in there to see the Pokemon dissappear right before her eyes. Alice knew that she was scared of them, but something was not right about it. Eventually, all of the Pokemon dissappeared as their crystals dispersed throughout the estate's grounds and Alice matured into a teenager.

Alice began to recluse in the estate's gym more often, working out to try and provide a form of entertainment. Finding that the Pokemon were gone made herself feel a little bit more empty when she went outside. She soon began to become sad, writing poems and singing whatever came to her mind. Alice eventually matured to an older teenager and was finally brave enough to take a walk outside on her fifteenth birthday. As she started to feel tears develop in her eyes because the Pokemon had dissappeared seemingly forever, Vindi shined mysteriously in the grass; Alice picked up the Vindi which were the vindi of a Roselia, and a Combee. She learned about their powers as a small group of Team Galactic members threatened to buy their land, barely fending off the Pokemon attack by transforming with the Roselia Vindex and defeating them, but with many cuts and bruises to prove it. She spent about two weeks recovering as the grunts went away. Now hoping that the area around Jubilife where the estate is can be taken back before her surogate father is killed. A year passed and the tension still existed, but nothing happened, so her surogate father forced her out of the house, with her Vindi, and some clothes, to journey off towards the Sentinels of Sinnoh, to join them. It took her a year to finally reach them, turning seventeen as they finally secured the town of Sunyshore City. She eventually joined the Pearl Squad and proved her healing abilities as she helped the Diamond squad heal after practice for many weeks until they finally moved her to finding Vindex. She has not found any yet, but is hoping to find some in the near future to add to her collection and help Sinnoh rebel against Team Galactic for what they have done to her life.
Alliance: Pearl Squad, Sentinels of Sinnoh
Other: When she's alone, she sings, she used to not like Pokemon, and still has a fear of large ferocious ones (i,e. Salamence, Aerodactyle, etc.)

First, I'd like to point out that Monferno learns Close Combat at level 36, right before evolving into Infernape. As for Heat Wave... I wasn't sure if I could use Egg Moves or not.

Anyway, the post has been edited, but I'm keeping Close Combat for the reasons explained above.

Oh, I wasn't taking into account how long it took to read the thing, it was actually quick and easy to understand (no wonder it got the seal of approval). It just took me awhile to make my sign-up all long and above and beyond and however long it's required and stuff. I also didn't wanna make it sound too extreme (even though it kind of is with only a surogate father who owns a large estate and adopted her from an orphanage which she ended up in because her mother took too much drugs o.o). Oh well, I'm glad that I got accepted, I must warn you in advanced that I will be gone December 15 through the 21 for a cruise =D.

Ah okay, I'll be sure to make a note of it. Once the role play begins or even before it begins, you can start thinking of how you want your character to depart for a while. So that way when you leave to go on the cruise, your character just won't up and...poof. I hope you enjoy your cruise! Everyone's going on one except me. T_T

Thank you for joining too!

Edit: Well I'm getting ready to head off to doze off. Please continue posting profiles and if there are any questions, just ask. Hopefully I'll have the answer. ^_^ Good night all!

Peter Quill

My longly awaited signup.

Name: Derek Hughs
Nickname: None (yet)

Age: 25

Appearance: Derek isn't the tallest person around Hoenn. His height being at approximately 6' 00" Derek is tanned, not to much to say that he is completely brown but more of a tannish colour. He has your basic round head, with blue eyes. His short carefully gelled blonde hair is spiked up, it isn't completely stiff meaning to say his hair is a bit dull. Derek has a surprisingly big build for someone his size, not to say that he is fat but he has a lot of definition (muscle wise of course). His getup tends to make most people think that he is a blast from the past. He wears a black Leather jacket underneath he usually wears a white shirt, sometimes you can find him wearing a different coloured shirt. He has a pair of denim blue jeans, paired with a pair of black shoes. He wears a silver watch on his right wrist. His final piece of jewelry is a silver necklace that he never takes off. He also wears a black backpack.

Personality: Derek is a mixed bag, depending on his mood he can be either cold, angsty, happy and a whole other assortment of other emotions. He usually tends to go around with a cold emotion. Derek is unfortunately a loud talker, meaning sometimes he doesn't really know when to shut his mouth. Derek is actually pretty competitive and prideful always wanting to win for what the true justice wants. Derek has a very firm belief in his own opinions on will sometimes debate from time to time.

On the battlefield Derek has a very tactical style of play. Using objects, weather and an assortment of other goodies Derek will try to use strategic thinking and a mix of brawn to out do his opponents.

With that Derek is very intelligent and is someone that most people can go to for advice unless angered. When angered Derek doesn't think rationally which can become a very big nuisance for him on the battlefield considering the fact that Derek can get frustrated rather easily.

History: Derek as a young boy lived in Vermillion, his parents were best friends with a family called the “Surges”. Derek's family consisted of five people himself, his father, his mother, his sister, and his brother. Most times Derek would be over at the Surge's house considering his parents usually went out of town for business and his siblings were friends with the Surges son “Arthur”. Derek was to young to hang out with his siblings and Arthur but Derek always played with the pikachu over there,

Around the time Derek became twelve years old he and his family moved from Vermillion in Kanto all the way over to Hoenn, Lilycove city to be exact. His brother Nicholas always kept in touch with Arthur considering they were best friends.

When Derek hit fourteen years of age his sister named Natalie went missing. She was on the way to go see a Lapras that she had found in a cove earlier that year, unfortunately Natalie never returned leaving Derek a rather sad person. Derek spent about two weeks trying to find his sister but he had never found her in that cold, damp cove.

The following year is when Derek noticed something odd. Pokemon from all around Hoenn were disappearing, he had even seen a Vileplum vanish into thin air. Curious Derek tried to investigate the strange phenomenon only to find no results.

When the Defenders of Hoenn were formed Derek jumped at the chance so that he could join them. He spent a few years in training and passed with high expectations from his superiors. Eventually he became the leader of the Ruby squad, a high honour in Derek's mind.

Alliance: Defenders of Hoenn, Captain of the Ruby Squad.

Other: Knows the gym Leader Lt. Surge. Doesn't like written work.

Change the Flamethrower, Ice Beam and Roost moves (either the Pokémon don't learn them naturally or learned way later in their unevolved forms). Those moves can be learnt gradually during the role play. Staravia definitely doesn't have the Blaze ability lol. Change those things and you'll be in.

I really wouldn't mind turning it into a fic. I wondered if doing so would've been a good idea and asked in the author's cafe thingy, but no responses. ^_^;;

Oops, sorry! I've copy-pasted that part and forgot to edit. Is everything is fine now?

You're missing the "Alliance" and "Other" section. Put those in please. Other than that, you're in. ^_^ Welcome to the war!

Sir Forgets-A-Lot

The Forever Amnesiac
Before I post my sign up, I have a couple of questions.

One is that since I am going to be a Rocket Admin, will I be allowed to use both regular pokemon and Vindi at the same time and would I be under the same number restriction as everyone else?

Two is that if someone uses the move Embargo, would that cancel out the activation of the Vindi since they are in the form of items when not activated?

The Doctor

Absolute Beginner
Name: Alexander Valentine

Nickname: The Joker; Man of a Thousand Faces; Aleister Crowley III; John Wallace; C.T. Smith; Jack Crescent; Vincent Sutherland (aliases he has used in the past)

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Appearance: Standing at about 5’10”, just above average height, Alex always stands proud and tall, never one to slouch. His build is slim and athletic, but he doesn’t have any real tesosterone-induced muscle or doesn’t remotely resemble a giant; he’s just in good shape. His facial features are rather sharp, with a slightly curved nose and high cheekbones; usually, he appears rather tranquil. His eyes are a rather cool shade of emerald, and never appear to be disturbed except when things are going distinctly pear-shaped. Alex’s hair is reddish-brown, appearing to be a more autumnal shade of crimson, and cut short because it’s too much bother to tie it up.

When it comes to clothing, Alex typically prefers to keep it simple, usually wearing a white long-sleeved button-up shirt done up all the way except for the top button; over that, he dons a crimson tie done up in a Windsor knot, and a pair of white gloves on his hands; above that, on his right wrist, he wears a black-and-red Pokégear. Listed in the phonebook are the numbers of his comrades, including his commander. Over that, he wears a charcoal sleeveless vest, the two halves buttoned up, and in the event of a colder climate, dons a jet-black blazer. Below the waist, he wears a pair of black trousers and slip-on dress shoes with white socks, his backpack worn on his back.

Personality: Alex comes across as being a rather laid-back individual, who would much rather prefer no work to any sort of job at all, no matter how insultingly easy it may actually be. That’s true to an extent, as he will often shirk duties and only remember them at the last minute, which will then be followed by a quick attempt to complete it before his time is up. This lackadasical exterior masks an individual who is witty, intelligent and somewhat charming, with a wit like a rapier and a sarcastic put-down always at hand. In particular, he enjoys irritating those who are more stoic and serious, as it’s always fun to see them change from stony-faced to furious if you can set them off right. That said, even Alex is aware of when to stop, and does have respect for his leader Sumire, but the odd teasing here and there never hurt anyone but their pride.

Alex isn’t so foolish as to play pranks on them; it isn’t really his style. He mainly sticks with verbally abusing them. He is unfailingly polite to anyone and everyone he meets, often charming and scorning them in one sentence, the target being unsure as to whether they’ve been praised or insulted. Despite being a bit of a joker, Alex is rather calculating, and a brilliant observer. No matter how small the detail, he’ll notice it and keep it in his head, possibly needing it at some point. He’s something of a strategist, and can note the little flaws in an individual rather easily, and of course always keen to tell them just what they are. This has the makings of someone who desires absolute power; in actuality, Alex only wishes to have a decent amount, and would rather be an influence behind the throne rather than being on it.

History: Alex is a native of Johto, being born and growing up in Goldenrod City. For the first few years of his life, he didn’t set foot outside his home; the Bike Shop, the Gym with its tempermental leader, the Bullet Train, the Radio Tower: all elements of one great whole that couldn’t be interfered with and would always be there. For a while, things were good and steady. Until that is Mr. Valentine decided to risk everything on the stock market, and one foolish move later, the family was on the lower rungs of society. This meant public education rather than private, and he was no longer sheltered pampered little Alex. The Valentine family was ultimately forced to live in a rescue shelter, before eventually moving to a sturdy, if not quite as impressive, one-storey house.

From a young age, Alex was trained into becoming a con artist. He started to develop his wits and cunning ever further, keeping himself one step ahead of his victims and the police. Taking lessons from a PI who could be seen frequently around Goldenrod, he was taught how to swindle money out of unsuspecting victims. He became a sort of Robin Hood figure: stealing from the rich and giving to the poor…well, after taking a fair portion for himself.

Then, at age 12, it happened. Pokémon were an everyday part of life, so you can imagine the shock and surprise when they all just started disappearing without a trace. Following this, a new terrorist organisation by the name of Team Aqua – apparently, they were big shots in Hoenn who had been brought down a peg or two – had invaded Johto and were now effectively in control; predictably, their Pokémon were still present. Despite minor achievements by some rebel groups, Aqua still maintained their hold over Goldenrod and Johto in general. Naturally, Alex joined them; yes, he was a criminal, but world domination wasn’t on his agenda and quite frankly these guys were too cruel. Eventually, after discovering a small pale pink crystal, he joined the Guardians of Johto as a new recruit, eventually being assigned to Crystal Squad.

Alliance: Crystal Squad, Guardians of Johto

Other: Alex can disguise himself – pitch of voice, physical appearance et al. – using his Ditto Vindex. As such, he serves as the Crystal Squad’s chief spy and frequently takes the role of a double agent inside enemy organisations.

Sir Forgets-A-Lot

I was debating with myself on that for some time now, lol. It would be possible as long as you send your Pokémon out before turning into a Vindex. I'm not quite sure how you'll give battle commands while fighting yourself. I did say that while in Vindex form you can understand Pokémon and human speech, but will not be able to speak human while in Vindex form. Bad guys fight dirty so I guess you could do that. It'll be interesting to see how people will handle the situation, but make sure you do not end up power playing. Pretty pleeaase. ^_^

Question 2 response: Now that is a very interesting embargo concept, I must admit. Didn't think of that one, but I don't think it'll have any affect. It prevents the foe (the Pokémon) from using its held item. Its Trainer is also prevented from using items on it. The Vindex stone, crystal, or whatever, is being used on the trainer and not the Pokémon so it won't have an effect. Then again, if this attack was used on the trainer...gosh I'm liking the idea more and more as I think about it, but you might be getting too much leverage, lol. So let's leave it at a no, but it will make for a pretty awesome thing, I think, to put in the fan fic of this, that is if you don't mind. I'll give you credit for the idea when I get to that part and if I forget, just remind me. And if I still act stubborn, just send me a link to this thread/post.

But naw, no affect on the Vindex crystals. Thanks for that idea though. ^_^ Whew, me and my blabbing.

The Doctor

What's up Doc? (I couldn't help myself). Yeah I noticed that in quiet a few Pokémon unfortunately. Take Zen Headbutt and learn Sky Attack during the role play.
Edit: Oh yeah, you're accepted. Blah, almost forgot...

Wow...we'll be able to start soon. I'm just waiting to see if we can get just a few more people for the empty squads and troop spaces. Thanks yet again everyone for your time and patience! ^_^

Oh yeah, when I get started on the fic, if you would like your character to be in it or would like to help with the story just tell me through PM or the profile message thingy.

Darn, there goes that idea (you weren't the only one thinking on those lines Sir Forgets-A-Lot). Anyway I have a few more move based questions, kinda key to my characters Sableye Vindi so here goes nothing.

1. Since you have a no egg moves policy; what's your stance on starting out with TM moves? Can we have as many as we want, a certain limit (e.g. 3) or none at all?

2. The move Foresight; can it be used in a Frisky (the ablity you perverts) way? The ablity allows you to see what item your oppoent has and since Foresight is searching and identifying your oppoent I can see it having a similar effect.

3. The move Snatch; can it be used to steal your oppoent's item as well as there power up? If not then I'll just settle for theif.

4. Is there a limit to how many pokemon you can have around a certain level? At the moment my Pokemon's levels are 32, 38 and 42 for certain moves that they or there pre-evo learn at that level however I'm worried about power playing (even though two of them have the move for its effect rather than for battling).

5. Do Vindi take up bag space? If so how much? Would they have to be stored in a Treasure Sack? If so how many would you be able to fit in a treasure sack (10, 5, 1?)

6. How much space does an item like Explorers Kit (thing that lets you go underground in Shinnoh) take up?

7. Does food and drink take up a slot (unless its like MooMoo Milk or Rare Candy)?

8. An odd one but eh, I feel like giving my character a PokeGear, are the radio stations in Jotho all run by Team Aqua (since they do have contorl of GoldenRod) or are there some underground ones? Also would Team Aqua be trying to brainwash people with this great resource or are they so conferdent that no one will defie them that they see no need?

9. Something I'm planning on doing later on in the rpg and something for you to consider. I'm guessing a lot of people have gone missing during the take over, right? Would it be possible to find some trapped in pokemon form and have the challenge of figuring out who they are?

Woo lota questions ^_^; but shows how interested I am in this rpg :3
