*Rubs hands together* Alright, I wondered when I was going to get my first barrage of questions, lol. ^_^ Let’s see if I can answer these.

1. Since you have a no egg moves policy; what's your stance on starting out with TM moves? Can we have as many as we want, a certain limit (e.g. 3) or none at all?

In the beginning, none because I don’t want people to begin making an already well rounded Pokémon using the TMs. This will at least provide a lot more room to grow and to watch as characters struggle to learn new attacks in order to ensure their survival. I’m already letting you guys hit up to level 55, over half of 100. ^_^

2. The move Foresight; can it be used in a Frisky (the ability you perverts) way? The ability allows you to see what item your opponent has and since Foresight is searching and identifying your opponent I can see it having a similar effect.

Lol, that kind of reminds me of someone’s ability from Naruto. I think it was Naruto. Naw, don't like this one too much lol. If someone's a Lucario (aura ability) or Luxray (x-ray ability) they can do it. ^_^

3. The move Snatch; can it be used to steal your opponent’s item as well as there power up? If not then I'll just settle for thief.

I was thinking about that as well, particularly thief. Yeah, but don’t get out of hand with it. That goes for everyone. I don’t want people typing “oh I used thief and stole your all your Vindi.” As for snatch, no, that’s for stealing an opponent’s power up or healing move. As for knock-off (before it comes up), the crystal can’t be knocked off if the person is already in their Vindex form (the crystal won't be visible). It can be knocked away before they attempt to transform. Once again, do not get carried away.

4. Is there a limit to how many Pokémon you can have around a certain level? At the moment my Pokémon's levels are 32, 38 and 42 for certain moves that they or there pre-evo learn at that level however I'm worried about power playing (even though two of them have the move for its effect rather than for battling).

If you’re worried about power playing then get rid of ‘em or it’s basically for the effect, then use the move only for that purpose. I put level 55 as the maximum and I think myself that is too high (I like freedom that’s why it’s so high), but it is possible to control yourself and not power play while still role playing effectively. Having all three at level 55 wouldn’t leave any real room for growth and definitely would feel like a person would be leaning towards power playing. To solve this, just make your Pokémon at a lower level.

5. Do Vindi take up bag space? If so how much? Would they have to be stored in a Treasure Sack? If so how many would you be able to fit in a treasure sack (10, 5, 1?)

People can own an unlimited number of Vindi however, but have no more than six on hand. They don’t take up bag space. A crystal can be worn as an accessory or hidden in someone’s pockets. The person has to be holding/touching the Vindex crystal while saying its name in order for it to activate. The excavators are the ones that are allowed quite a number of Vindi because lol they’re the excavators. I wouldn’t recommend fighters having a bunch on hand because the possibility of them losing a few will be greater. That’s why I said that the usual number of Vindi carried was six. Out of habit from the old way, but if that’s not solid enough, I’ll put a cap on it now. No more than 6 on hand to use in battle. As for the excavators, they can have more in their possession because as I said, they’re the excavators, but they’re under the 6 only rule as well (6 only used during a fight). Besides, it would tiresome transforming from human to Vindex, back to human and then to another Vindex. (Oh you can’t slide from one Vindex into another like Digimon do the slide evolution thing. Meaning if you have a Meowth and Squirtle Vindex and you’re a Meowth right now you’d have to transform back into a human before transforming into the Squirtle.) Not to mention any new Vindex found would be the equivalent of a wild Pokémon, which means that they won’t just suddenly have perfect control. It takes time and practice to get control of a new Vindex, depending on what and how strong it is. I wouldn’t expect a person to have trouble with a newly found Caterpie Vindex as they would with a newly discovered Electabuzz Vindex.

6. How much space does an item like Explorers Kit (thing that lets you go underground in Shinnoh) take up?

I’ve never done the Explorer Kit underground thing so I don’t really know how that works. ^_^;;;

7. Does food and drink take up a slot (unless its like MooMoo Milk or Rare Candy)?

No, the food and drink don’t take up a slot, unless it is something like MooMoo Milk. I kind of felt guilty when they put small things like watches as an item (that’s an accessory), but didn’t have the heart to tell them. When they read this they’ll probably be glaring at the computer screen. *Gulps* It’s for major items that stick out like rope, first aid kits, and yeah MooMoo Milk along with the rare candy (Poke balls, potions, full heals, etc). The stuff you would find in the bag of the character on the game except maybe the bicycle. I don’t get how that’s able to fit in a bag. I guess it’s foldable.

8. An odd one but eh, I feel like giving my character a PokeGear, are the radio stations in Johto all run by Team Aqua (since they do have contorl of GoldenRod) or are there some underground ones? Also would Team Aqua be trying to brainwash people with this great resource or are they so confident that no one will defy them that they see no need?

The radio stations are down right now unless the bad guys need to make a threatening announcement of some sort. As for the civilians, they keep them in check and if that particular area has a lot of possible rebels, then they’ll be on house arrest or secured in some kind of cell. If they’re really rowdy then they’re beaten and shown as examples when they rebel. All Archie wants to do is bring on expanding the ocean and until the go ahead is given, he is having his grunts and admins keep the people in check as well as trying to hold back the rebels. As for Giovanni, Maxie, and Cyrus, they definitely aren’t as lenient.

9. Something I'm planning on doing later on in the rpg and something for you to consider. I'm guessing a lot of people have gone missing during the take over, right? Would it be possible to find some trapped in Pokémon form and have the challenge of figuring out who they are?

That definitely would add more to the role play. Yeah sure and I could make a few missions out of it because someone is going to have to find Bill. (Darn, wasn’t supposed to reveal that.) XD

I’ll say this, creative thoughts like this I will allow because you guys are actually thinking and pondering on making this a real good role play (hopefully that’s the case and not to power play). Back to the embargo thing, I’ll change my mind and let that in. All aforementioned things about the attacks apply to the good side as well so everyone is open to using them. If power playing gets too then all the effects of moves such as embargo, thief, knock off and whatever others will be canceled out for the remainder of the role play. Just can't use the foresight thing.

Whew, that was tough, lol, but enjoyable too. Hope I didn't cause too much confusion.

Yeah, I kinda figured that, lol. I think I edited you in already so you're good and if I didn't I will.

And for the future, PM questions to me. I'm asking if I can make a thread in the RPG Cafe for this role play so the sign-up thread won't turn into a Q&A/Discussion page and trouble comes about. ^_^

.:Lemon Tea:.

Crystallized decay
Cameron, I have updated some things in my sign up (mostly just changing levels of pokemon and their attacks, I hope all of it is ok). I couldn't help changing the Eevee to a higher level and such.

I also added another line to history if that makes a huge difference (its right on the bottom and just adds a little more information about her nickname). I think that's it.

EDIT: There was one more line for personality, but that's it. :O

Could I reserve a Gold Squad troop? Jesus, you really can't miss joining in on a Seal roleplay, can you?

Hm... Been pondering whether to sign up or not and this is really a very appealing RPG.

Looks like nobody likes healers =/. May I reserve a spot as the Sapphire Squad Leader? If you feel that I'm not up to the job, I'm fine as a regular member of the Squad. I'll try to get my sign up up tomorrow.

Wow, lol. Okay up sure I'll reserve you guys. Parasite, InnerFlame got to it first, sorry. ^_^
If she feels like she can't lead anymore during the role play, then InnerFlame can promote you to squad leader. Would you like me to reserve you as something else? Here's the RPG cafe thread for Vindex.

Cynthia = Porn Star
seal of approval, nice work mate. anyways, here be ma sign up. nothing like a moody suicidal character to liven things up.

Name: Jack Mariner
Nickname: Jackie to his friends. ‘Sneak’ when under code name.
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Appearance: Jack stands at 5’11” and has a pretty muscular build. Ever since he’s joined the Defenders, he’s worked out and trained his body to such that when he moves, he’s like a Panther, silent but rippling with power. His legs are strong and somewhat rough from running through undergrowth. His body is well tanned in the relatively hot climate of Hoenn. His chest isn’t bulging with muscles but there is some masculine build there. His lower back however has the ugly remnants of the burning he had 10 years ago and although it doesn’t hurt anymore normally, any attack on that area makes it liable to cause him great pain – his weak spot if you will. His shoulders are relatively narrow for his size but allow him to be more lithe and nimble while his arms are powerful and are able to lift his body up with ease.

Jack’s face is, in one word, rough. He’s not gloriously handsome or is he ugly. His neck and lower face and along his pretty sharp jaw line is covered with the sort of stubble that one gets when they haven’t shaved for a few days. His mouth is often grimly set and whenever he smiles, it often looks more like the sneer of a Luxray as it sneaks up on its prey and kills it in a single bite – which doesn’t match the tone of his voice at all. Jack’s voice is very low and soothing, almost lyrical when he talks ; not at all fierce sounding as his looks are. His nose is slightly curved but not overwhelming large. His eyes are bright green and give people the creeps if he stares at them. His hair is black and about medium in length and generally messy.

Jack, when on his missions normally wears a tight, black, long sleeved Lycra shirt with a neck warmer attached which Jack can pull up to cover his nose and mouth. On top, he also wears a sleeveless dark green jacket with many pockets on. He also wears a pair of fingerless gloves on his hands. On his legs he wears a pair of dark trousers and he wears a pair of pair of study boots which he’s so broken into that he can run in them with ease. In casual wear, he gets around in a simple casual Jeans, a t-shirt, a dark grey overcoat and a pair of trainers. He wears the fingerless gloves as well.

Personality: Although Jack gives off a powerful, if somewhat chilling, persona to those around him, Jack hates to be in charge. If there’s something of his past life which has rubbed off on him, its his father’s marine nature of obeying orders from those higher up such as his squad leader Aaron, even if he can beat them in a fight. He will however offer up any point he feels they’ve missed out and has no objection to helping from behind the scenes. If his superiors tell him to do something that he objects to whether because it would never work or pointless, he will do it even if it costs his life - but if he’s in a team, he will make sure they get away safely at all costs.

Since his first incident with a vindi crystal, Jack has always preferred working alone in gathering information, often asking for the most riskiest and dangerous. The traumatic events in his life has made him become cold and distant and although he hates to admit it to himself, the risk of dying and failing to continue living from his parents sacrifice is his drug to continue on. This subconscious desire has often made Jack somewhat careless with his life and Jack would be perfectly ready to sacrifice himself for others without thinking. Thankfully, this is countered by his natural instinct to run away in a flight/flight situation, possibly a pokemonic trait he gained. Another trait he thinks he may have gained was his fuelled power whenever he’s cornered, although this may be because of the adrenaline in his body making him work better. When not in this cornered situation however, Jack would never fatally harm someone or something intentionally, preferring to stun them or knock them out.

Although Jack is a very serious person and prefers to only speak when he needs to, he does have a slight sense of humour, especially with stupidly optimistic sarcasm which he likes to use when he’s nervous or excited. You can often tell when he’s in a good mood because even through there’s rarely a hint of a smile, his face seems to soften and relax.

History: Jack is a native of Hoenn, born in the now captured city of Lilycove. His young life was, in a nutshell, pretty normal. He lived in a nice suburban house and his mother worked in the department store as a manager and his father was a Marine. In those days, the Marines used pokemon as well as guns and other weaponry in combination. Jack idolised his father, and being that he was often away from home, his brief visits home often making him cry that he couldn’t go away with him. Jack was always adamant to his friends that he would be a marine and one day follow his father to far off places and do heroic and dangerous things. He often thought about the stories and things he was taught by his dad the short times he was around, relaying everything in his preparation to join him. Jack also dreamt of getting his first pokemon like his dad had and that day came when he turned 14 when his parents deemed him old and responsible enough. The pokemon was a Slakoth. Jack quickly grew to think of the lazy pokemon to be his closest friend and although he would regularly get annoyed at his extremely lax manner, they got a long well.

His father came home and told him how well he’d been training his new pokemon not long afterwards. Then things turned for the worst. On the 6th day of his father’s return, Jack came downstairs one morning with his Slakoth in his arms. His father was in the living room – crying. It was the first and only time Jack had ever seen his father so horrified. He looked up when he heard Jack enter and hugged Jack in an instant, the slakoth pressed between us. He told Jack that his pokemon had gone; disappeared overnight. He was talking so irrationally that Jack couldn’t speak. Jack could feel his dad’s heart pumping wildly and his pokemon’s heart and breathing and he continued to doze in his arms. And then his Slakoth was gone. He was in his arms and then a moment later he wasn’t. Jack was lost for words, as was his dad.

Jack refused to leave the house after this happened. The shock of it was so great he couldn’t bear to see anyone, even his parents for very long. He heard of all the pokemon disappearing and every night, Jack clung to a cushion, missing his pokemon, tears falling silently. Then a week after, his parents ran into the room and dragged him out of the house. No matter how much he struggled or asked what was happening, they wouldn’t explain. It was only after running down a couple of streets did his parents tell him what was going on. Team Magma, a criminal organisation which had been disbanded years ago was taking over, looting, destroying everything and even killing.

Something took over Jack and the panic in his mother’s voice told him to run, to bolt to the countryside away from the city. They heard a deep rumble, and the next thing he knew, the scariest pokemon he’d ever seen leapt from around the side of the house closest to him and ravaged his mother with teeth and dark searing flames in front of his eyes. Jack heard a screaming noise and it was a moment or two before he realised it was his own terrified voice. His father was there in an instant and dragged him up and made him run. And Jack ran. It was the last time he saw his father, running behind him, telling him to run faster and don’t stop. Next thing he knew, he felt a burning sensation on his back. Flames surrounded him and there was pain. Jack continued to run through and didn’t stop. An eerie howl, the sound of a death knell followed him until he collapsed in the forest in the outskirts of Lilycove.

When he woke up, he was in so much pain. All Jack knew was to keep walking. Exhausted, injured from his burn and mentally scarred and bleeding, Jack tripped and fell down a slope. As he tumbled, his hand tried to grasp hold or something to stable himself instinctively and his hands grasped rock, but to his horror it cracked away and he fell to the bottom. There, in the undergrowth, he noticed the rock he grabbed on to was a crystal. The pain increased as his body realised what had happened and Jack passed out.

The next few weeks, Jack’s memory was a blur. He didn’t know it at the time but the crystal was a vindi containing a Nuzleaf. In his weak emotional and physical state, it took over and the wild Nuzleaf intuitively knew it wanted to go home and so trekked south towards Petalburg woods.

Jack ‘resurfaced’ from his Nuzleaf form when down by Slateport, a group from the defenders of Hoenn thought they had seen a real pokemon and as they attempted capture the grass pokemon, Jack’s last memories as a human came to him of his father telling him to run. This sudden rise in emotion loosened the pokemon’s mental takeover of him and Jack, burnt, dirty and crying emerged, the crystal still held firmly in his hand.

He spent the next few months in hospital recovering from his injuries. Jack noticed how he just wasn’t the same person anymore. The Doctors told him eventually that the crystal of the pokemon had taken over for so long that the pokemon’s personality and traits had infused with his own. Jack was no longer happy and determined with a will to help. He had grown up and seen the harshness of life. Jack was alone in life and was hollow. But he wasn’t ready to give up yet and did the only thing he knew he could do. Jack joined the Defenders of Hoenn as soon as he was healed and through fierce determination, rose in ranks to become one of the most well known spies in the organisation.

Alliance: Emerald squad, Defenders of Hoenn

Other: Jack has a terror of fire. It normally makes him run like the wind but he has trained himself to resist this urge to run and think things through more rationally.

Wow, when I first saw the title of the RPG on the sign-ups list the first thing that came to mind was german window cleaner -_-; Though now that I've read what its about it actucally reminds me of that soul binding RPG that got abandoned a long while ago, minus the weapons. This however has much more content and such.

Anyways it looks pretty awesome, could you reserve me aplace on the Yellow squad as a troop please?

Come, come now...I said no weapons. I don't know why I'm getting the idea that you might use that blowtorch for something other than getting through metal. Then again, maybe not. Nuzleaf learns Extrasensory at level 49. Edit those teeny-weeny pieces out and you're in. ^_^

You know what, I didn't even think of that. It does sound like Windex o_O. The title I got off a latin dictionary website. It means protector I think, I can't remember. Yah, you will be reserved.

Everyone, that time is rolling around. We will be beginning soon so those who have been accepted, make any necessary adjustments to your profiles. If you want to change to a different Pokémon between now and perhaps two days from now is the time to do it.

All those on reserve, you still have two days to put in your profiles in order to start when we do. Do not worry because the sign-up will be open during the role play as well. Its a war, we always need troops. ^_^

Start conferring with those who will be your teammates during the role play. If you have questions about their character ask them so things can be clear by the time the role play begins. Find out which area your team is starting from and PM them to me because I have the first missions typed up, after which, you will be on your own for some time. I will also PM this everyone so don't be surprised if you see this again, lol.

The appearance and personality sections is a minimum of four lines. The history section is a minimum of five lines. Please extend it to meet those standards. It kind of looks as though it was just a little rushed too... ^_^;;;
