The virtual console is the part of Wii that plays older games right? If it is I haven't heard anything about it E3-wise either.

How musch is it going to cost for the older games? Are they goiong to be a fgree service where you can only play when online, or are they going to be ones which you can download and save?

That's what I want to know. Come on Nintendo, you've made enough money out of those games already, make them free, please?

The bandwidth costs money, even for such small games as the NES ones it all adds up

Who cares about that? I'd rather buy special cards with Cash Values that count as money when you download the games. This way, we can have a good way of paying for the games without using an actual credit card.

I doubt they'll charge much for the Virtual Console games. So far they have promised that the Wii will be a console everyone can enjoy and charging ridiculous prices for retro games would completely go against that.

Man, I love this time of the year when E3 happens. It's like a gamer's dream come true.......and this year seems to be an especially good one. We're seeing awesome Wii games out the wazoo, D/P, another wave of great DS games and more. You just can't ask for anything better.

What is the Virtual Console?

It is the name of the Wii's capability to download classic NES/SNES/N64 games via Wi-Fi for a small fee. Along with the controller, it appears to be the Wii's trump card.

I'm looking forward to the Virtual Console. I doubt the games will be free, but I do hope that they don't cost very much.

EDIT: Allright! Johto Champion!

It's almost certain that Nintendo will have an online experience like Xbox Live, but Nintendo has not released specific information about how the service will work. We do know that the service will give Wii owners access to over 20 years of games by making NES, SNES, and N64 games available for download online via the virtual console, for a fee of course. At the 2006 Game Developers Conference Nintendo announced backwards compatibility for the Sega Genesis and Hudson's Turbo Grafx 16. The Wii will also be able to play GameCube games, and Nintendo will release a Wii edition of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with special controller support.
Now, am I to trust this or not? Here's the list, BTW.

Err... http://www.gamersreports.com/grimages/969/1147299010/3/1/gr.image.jpg

Does that mean that we'll be playing NES games with the A and B buttons, instead of B and Y, too? Crap!

Unless they let us remap the controls, the only system we'll be able to play with perfect control is SNES. N64... what are we going to be using for Z and also C-directions?

well, in the Game Cube release of Ocarina of Time, the C-buttons were replaced with the C-stick, which acted like one of the C-button functions depending on which direction it was tilted in. I expect something kinda like that (this controller does have two analogue sticks, after all). As for the Z-button, the N64 lacked a Select button..... problem solved.

Actually, on the Classic Controller, Z is to the left of R, it's a small shoulder button.

Let's hope not, or else it would be IMPOSSIBLE to move, aim, and shoot in N64 FPSes.

The c-stick as the c-buttons on the new controller would be awful as well. In a lot of N64 games, we were able to press more than one C button at once to do things, like enter codes.
