It looks adorable. At least it still has the old Rare charm ^_^ Pinatas. You can't not love them.

The TV show sounds kinda dull though... but, hey it's 4kids... what's there to look forward to?

And may I be so lame as to point out that purple bird thing and those crocodiles? Rare should sell out and make plushies. /end retarded post that doesn't relate to anything.

I hope you enjoy a great waste of $50 on your so-called revolution. Sorry. I just had to say that. Classic Nintendo fanboyism.

Easy now everybody. This here isn't a topic to make fun of each other okay? Let's focus on the game and not the other stuff that isn't supposed to be talked about here anyways. So relax everybody.

It's a cross of basically Sim City, Pokemon and Animal Crossing. You build a garden, Pinatas turn up, your either rear them, let them kill each other, or poke them with a spade till they explode in a chocolicous flood of...bon bons.

It actually is looking to be a good game. Purely for the poking with a spade till they explode part, or watching a crocodile pinata tear a duck pinata limb from limb with paper mache and chocolate spilling everywhere.

Oh, and the fact you can send 'bad pinatas' to your friends via 360Live and they won't know there's a vandalising piece of sweet stuffed carnage inside the crate until it's out and destroying their garden.

This game is PERFECT for sadists. It could be the new Sims, except with less fire and more chocolate.

It sounded stupid at first, but now it seems hilarious. I'd rent it, but I don't have or want a 360, and I don't know anyone who has one.

Viva Pinata was without a doubt, the best game released last year. It's a lot of fun to play, extremely original, very cute and really addictive. Unfortunately it suffers from the same problem as all of Rares recent games.

It's too childish looking for most 360 owners, and Nintendo fans refuse to even give it a chance because it's not a Nintendo game. Though rumours have it that a DS sequel will be coming soon. Microsoft want it to be a big franchise, and it's almost guaranteed to happen on the DS.

Oh, and yes. You can smash the Pinatas, but the objective is to run a good garden to attract rare and valuable species to come in, smashing them wouldn't be a good idea, but it can often help to smash apart some of the more irritating species that come into your garden merely to make a mess. There's a demo on Xbox Live now. Anyone who likes the Sims/Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing should really give it a try.

I actually want this game, and would consider buying an XBox360 core system for it, which is actually saying something, as I have a rather blind and stupid hatred for the XBox family. :/

It looks really cute, and sort of nurtures the slight god complex everyone has--who wouldn't want to determine the fate of a bunch of cute, helpless creatures? :D
