Forretress freak and I keep getting in argument about who is better, Volbeat or Forretress. We all know it's Volbeat but cast your vote now!

A rather unexpected poll... which I like. :D

That aside, I say Forretress. Volbeat is OK, but Forretress can take so many attacks it's not funny. HIGH Defense, OK Attack, access to Earthquake (For whatever reason... -__-), Explosion and Counter. All wonderful attacks with such Stats. Volbeat can't make much use of Tail Glow, if at all, and its Stats don't excell. It gets Signal Beam and isn't as weak against Fire, but has more weaknesses for the same reason. And sadly, Volbeat is also outranked by many other Baton Passers... or Bugs for that matter.

Design? Forretress' is rather awkward and weird, but looks somewhat cool. Volbeat's resemblance to a clown isn't much of my tastes...

Just my opinion, though. Good poll nonetheless. :)

Put Cacturne along on the go-go!
That aside, forretress beats volbeat in every way possible. I don't much like the freaky pink glasses, but the cannons you can't compete with. >:] And Orion is right, Volbeat is too much like a clown. Both die at the hands of Cacturne, though.

Nothing to be done
Volbeat has variation, and no 4x weakness, but his stats are all subpar. Meanwhile Forettress has at least one high stat in defence, and can be used to implement some useful strategies, something not so easily done with the weak Volbeat.

In the question of which one I like better, it's Volbeat, no contest. But if asked which one is more useful, it's Forretress.

Volbeat
1st turn: Tail Glow
2nd Turn: Rain Dance
3rd Turn: Thunder
:)

Volbeat has no 4x weaknesses, and isn't some weird floating ball thing.

Volbeat is a cool pokemon, but sadly it's status is nothing compared to Forretress. Even if Volbeat has no 4x weakness...it doesn't matter cos it's status is just too low.

Forretress OWNS Volbeat in battle. Sure, we've got:

1st turn: Tail Glow
2nd Turn: Rain Dance
3rd Turn: Thunder

but, considering Forretress' notable attack, and Volbeats VERY low defence, I'd say a few Rockslides/Earthquakes would take it down before this combo is set up.

Then, we have the looks department. Personally, I prefer a pink bug to a firefly that looks like a clown. Sure, the black glases are a little.....wierd, but the shell and the cannons are a nice edition to Forretress.

I'm not a fan of either, but considering that Volbeat is one of my least favorite Pokemon for personal reasons ¬_¬ I'm voting Forretress.

I mean, Forry can survive in the OU enviornment, while Volbeat wouldn't last long at all. ._.; He can't do that much either. Forry has a ROLE on a team like spiking and spinning, but Volbeat's just in there if the trainer likes it. :/

(and don't use the ThunderDance combo. :p)

Egad! Traitor! j/k!

But, my opinion stands beside me. Volbeat is cute. In a way.

Interesting opinions. Volbeat also makes a good Passer. And Spikes and Rapid Spin are weak moves.

*Cough*

Spikes is a great move. My teams ALWAYS have a spiker, generally Forretress. And, Forretress has that Uber defence, that goes nicley with the attack. Most teams in netbattle have a spiker, or so I'm told(I don't have it). Therefore, Rapid Spin IS a good move.

As for Volbeat passing, Ninjask does it so much better, I would think.

Looks: Volbeat is cute, but Forretress looks cool. Forretress wins.
Battle: Volbeat is too easy to beat, but even though Forretress has a 4x weakness to Fire, it's better. Forretress wins.
Overall: Forretress.

Well, Forretress is FAR better overall and with its whopping defence it takes a physical attack just like we take biscuits. Forretress can also explode, defense curl and rollout, counter, sunnybeam, it can't be poisoned, light screen and reflect, have access to earthquake, it learns bide, rapid spin and Zap Cannon and Spikes! Forretress is one of the most popular spikers on Netbattle along with Skarmory, etc. Not to mention that Forretress can also rapid spin away those other spikes (and leech seed) and it makes a fantasic physical tank. It can also defeat Skarmory's with Zap Cannon (although it is not Forry's best purpose) and it can easily defeat the Blisseys that use Toxic.

Now, what can Volbeat do?(Apart from thunderdancing (which is terrible) and Baton passing).

the poll says otherwise :p

I say forretress too. Volbeat is usefull for breeding and all, but forry is better looking ( IMO, god, volbeat's face is so ugly) It's stronger stat wise (forry's attack: 90, volbeats attack:73) and learns alot of moves to help it's stats. ( V0lb33t!1 us3 ta1lgl0w!!11 8D)

Volteon

Back I guess??
IF volbeat was electric/bug it will be my favorite pokemon (bug and electric are my favs. types), but if both volbeat and illumise were Electrc and bug, I´ll like illumise more, because it has higher S.attack (I know tail glow, but I prefer use 2 thunder bolts than one tail glow and one thunder bolt)

so I vote foretress, it has 4x weakness, I know, but it´s it only weakness.
