No need for smilies. I'm pretty sure using the search button, or even looking through the main page would answer this question rather simply. That being said, the Light Ball is a Rare attached item to Wild Pikachu in the Safari Zone.

Keep on catching pikachus and you will get the light ball, then attach it to a male pikachu and breed with a female or ditto.

If you play Emerald, put a Pokemon with static ability in front of your team. A swarm of Pikachus will appear.

Right, I caught a whole bunch of Pikachu's by doing this trick. I thinnk that this helps very much.

Actually,I think using a pokemon with compoundeyes work better.I used static, but After the 30th pikachu,I still didn't find a light ball. But when I used compoundeyes,I got the light ball on my first pikachu.

Either one works. The problem with static is that you have a higher catch rate of pikachu, but the ratio of it holding the light ball is still the same, so you'll still have to catch several. The problem with your method is that whatever pokemon you run into, it'll have a much higher chance of a held item, but pikachu will still have the same appearence rate, which is pretty small.
Choose whichever you wish, I think i'd prefer static though as it will attract more pikachu than anything else and from there you can work on finding one with a lightball.

Since compundeyes attracts PKMN with items and static attracts electric PKMN, try and use BOTH at the same time.

it's not an item you can get it's an item holded by wild the pikachu it's chance is 5% for an idia get a pokemon that can learn stel or covet then use the move whenever pikachu appears if it has the item it'll be taken if it hasn't nothing will be taken after you get it breed the pikuchu then after the egg hatches into pichu & you'll see that it has volt tackle

id suggest u use a poke with compoundeyes ability and have it hold white flute i got my light ball with my 4 pika and a bunch of oran berries in the meanwhile

Hush, keep it down
I got the Light Ball without either Compoundeyes *or* Static.....on my first Pikachu. Hah. ;)

That aside, I don't really like Volt Tackle. Sure it's strong, but since only the Pikachu line gets it, there's no ability like Rock Head to block the recoil.

Sorry, he's playing Ruby. That's why he's trying to get the Light ball to breed a Pichu for volt tackle, a move only obtainable in Emerald.

Volt tackle is useless. It's a fancy little electric double-edge that only the infamous Pika like learns, which automatically makes it among the worst moves in the game.

SealElement how did you know that he's playing ruby, anyways if he is realy than he can't get volt tackle unles he catches a pikachu with light ball then he trades it to emerald & then breed it

You can't use attacks in Safari Zone.

Does stuff like that really work!?!

If you have an AR a Light Ball is very easy to get. :D

i just now noticed ur sig says ruby/saphire/fire red/leaf green

If those are all you have, then your search for a light ball is in vain.
Both my fire red/leaf green and ruby/saphire books say you can fin the light ball on "wild pokemon in ruby/saphire" but i've yet to encounter this.
Unless you have emerald, then all these secondary ability effects will be useless. Also, breeding for volt tackle is an Emerald EXCLUSIVE, breeding move.

How to get Volt Tackle.

Lightball is found attached to a ;025; in the Safari Zone. But the lightball is rare. To get Volt Tackle, you have to have a male Pikachu with the lightball attached. Then breed it with a Ditto or a Female Pikachu. Once an egg is made, get the Mach Bike and ride around for a while until the egg hatches. Then Congrats! You now have a Pichu with Volt Tackle!
