Actually, being someone who's never even seen the original version of Voltron, I can say that the dub is pretty much your standard garbage '80s dub filled with nonsensical edits that are easy to spot out and confuse the hell out of the story line. :s

Also, the review was given because of how bad the dub was, not because it was dubbed.

Golion did have bloody scenes and lot of death. The storyline was change. I did found a site about the uncut episode. http://golion.animation-web.com/
I also read on the site that Golion wasn't popular in Japan and I thought Dairugger XV/Vehicle Voltron the unpopular one. I'm not impress with the Golions theme, but like the Dairugger XV.
