Volume 23 and Chapter Listing Change

Got volume 23 today, and there isn't much we don't know yet coz it only features the FRLG chapters. Compilation is up to the part where Deoxys fires off its psychoboost on Red, and apart from a few minor dialogue modifications, the only new material is one extra page depicting the battle between Red and Green at the Battle Path.

Originally, Green's Machamp fainted Red's Snorlax by a seismic toss only. Now, after the seismic toss, Machamp also delivered an extra lowkick before Snorlax is fainted, and the move dealed extra damage coz of Snorlax's heavy weight.

Another change is the relocation of the part where Deoxys attacked the biker gang on Three Island. Orignally, this part happened before Red and Green battled each other. Now, it was placed in a later separate chapter and took part at the junction when Charizard and Venusaur first unleashed the ultimate attacks.

So to speak, the chapter orders and content per chapter have changed a bit. Several chapters have been merged, and some separated. As a result, although Volume 23 covered materials up to our existing Chapter 282, the Chapter number is only up to 279.

Therefore, you may see a gap on the site, with chapter 280, 281 and 282 missing. But plotwise, 283 takes place right after volume 23's Chapter 279. We're not moving up the later chapters coz we believe volume 24 will stir up the sequence again somehow.

The backcover of Volume 23 features the Beast Warrior Trio. The sprites on the site will be modified to suit the official colours soon.

We really can't say for sure! for all we know they could chop out 10 more chapters (an entire volumes worth) and anyways, what's the whole point of cutting out chapters and alternating the story line? Also, will www.serebii.net soon add the new volume? how long 'til it comes out in english? Whoops! I'm sounding like a mall cop a bit again!:D

Yeah are you going to change the chapters on the mainsite? It would be less confusing. And when are you going to put up the front cover image?

I assume that the details on SPP will be changed as I think the content is based off of what the "volumes" contain.

The Biker Gang was on Two Island? From what I remember reading, the Ultimate Attacks were first unleashed against Blue's Ditto, which had transformed into Deoxys, on Two Island. So what happened to Three Island?
