Which Miyazaki movie is the better than rest? Which Miyazaki movie deserves a sequel?

Oh...

And you can only pick one. Choose wisely...;194;

This should be in alternate anime, if I'm not mistaken.

Spirited Away is the best, no questions there.

If I saw Castle In The Sky, maybe. I never saw it, but the commercial was great.

I voted for Princess Mononoke easily. ^^ Though, if I had seen Howl's Moving Castle, I might've voted for it...

How can Tales from Earthsea be up there when it isn't out yet? And isn't it being directed by his son, and not him?

Bah.

For the ones that he's been involved in, Pom Poko. Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind out of the ones that he's directed.

Lol sequals.

Trust me, Howl's Moving Castle had too many flaws. It was good, but not great.

None of them should have a sequel.

My favorite was Princess Mononoke. D: Nausicaa is my second.

Why is Earthsea on the poll? o_O; It hasn't even been released yet?

It hasn't...

Oops! ^_^;

I just went to a site that had a list of all the Miyazaki movies. Could the mod in charge please remove Earthsea? Please and thank you.

(bowing) Sorry...

P.S.: When will Earthsea come out?

Spirited Away, no questions asked. It's one of the most moving movie's I've ever seen.

But it shouldn't have a sequel. None of them should. Disney has given me a morbid fear of sequels.

Have to agree with you there.

Well, much of it was rushed, especially the ending. The whole movie needed at least another twenty minutes. We don't really see the romance develop; we're simply told it instead. And we never really are told the point of the war.

In July, but I don't think a day has been set.

BluekiKatana

Warrior Spirit
I haven't seen Nausicaa =/. However, out of all the ones I've seen here I think Mononoke was the best. Yay for violence in Miyazaki movies.

Yes, you are right. The ending was very rushed. I was rather confused as to how [SPOIL]Sophie and Howl could suddenly have fallen so deeply in love so fast.[/SPOIL] o_O Another part that bugged me was how [SPOIL]Sophie continued to change back and forth between young and old, with no explanation[/SPOIL].

Spoilered incase anyone is yet to see the movie.

About that [SPOIL]switching between ages[/SPOIL], me and my friends have come up with a possible theory about it. It's sort of a reach, but whatever. [SPOIL]Whenever Sophie showed qualities such as deep bravery and compassion, she would get younger. We first see it happen at the castle where she meets Howl's former mentor. Since then, most of the time she was in her 30s-40s. Then remember that one time in Howl's secret place where she was saying how she was old, she returned to her very old body.[/SPOIL] That's what I think. Most of it is just what I think is evidence though. Was the curse ever lifted? Howl's Moving Castle did leave many questions unanswered.

Anyway, I can't choose between Nausicaa and Castle in the Sky... *flips coin*

"Just kidding!"
Princess Mononoke, hands down. As for the movie that deserves a sequel...Spirited Away. I loved that movie second to Mononoke...^^;

Judging from what many have to say about Howl's Moving Castle, I guess I'll expect to be confused. You should read the original novel by Diana Wynn Jones...it MIGHT clear some things. (Not likely, but...)

Kurama

Ramiel Angel Thunder
tied with Howls, Spirited, Nasicaa, Totoro

[SPOIL]in the book they go to our time and howl has a nephew. his name is spelled howell[/SPOIL]

BlueFlameCharizard

The Original Shiny Pokemon
I'm not entirely sure if I could really choose between my favorites...

Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Spirited away, Princess Mononoke, and possibly Kiki's Delivery Service...

Those are my favorites of his work so far though.

Your theory is good. But you've forgotten that time when Howl came home one night, [SPOIL]and he saw Sophie sleeping in her young form[/SPOIL]. :/

'Tis very confusing.

That would be Princess Mononoke.

Argh, it's so difficult to choose just one!

Music-wise: Spirited Away. Simply amazing soundtrack. Mononoke and Nausicaa come in pretty closely there though.
Plot-wise: tied between Mononoke and Nausicaa, actually, though Sprited Away did have the draconic awesomeness that is Haku. ^..^ xp

So yeah, it's really between those three. But since I have to choose just one, I think I'll go with...

Princess Mononoke. Even though it has no dragons, it does have those awesome wolves, as well as one of my most favorite songs ever. ^..^

I like most of Miyazaki's movies, but I like Spirited Away the best. I didn't see much of Princess Mononoke, so I'm not really sure of it. I also saw Castle in the Sky, Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, and My Neighbor: Totoro. I liked Spirited Away, because I like the distinctive music that plays, and I also like the backgrounds in the movie. ^^
