Wario Ware: Smooth Moves

Format: Wii™
Launch Date: TBA
ESRB: RP (Rating Pending)
Game Type: Mass Microgames
Players: 1+ (TBD)
Developer: Nintendo

KEY INFORMATION

The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology ... the Wii Remote.
• WarioWare is back with a whole new set of moves. When Wario™ stumbles upon a strange device called a Form Baton, he and his friends use it to learn new moves that are as fun as they are wacky. With hundreds of microgames, this game is just as wild as you’d expect from the name WarioWare, but the game play has been revolutionized. Under Wario’s tutelage, and with the help of the Wii Remote, players will swing, spin and squat their way to victory.
• With about 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing, WarioWare: Smooth Moves takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. All players need is a Wii Remote and their best moves to be the champ.
• With games that are as much fun to play as they are to WATCH people play,

WarioWare: Smooth Moves brings the party to its feet. It’s hilarious for players and audiences alike.

Game storyline: Wario and his pals learn fun, wacky moves after discovering a strange book and a mystical device called the Form Baton. Characters: Familiar characters from the WarioWare universe will return to this installment and some new ones will appear.

How to progress through the game: Players must clear fast-paced sets of microgames, changing the way they hold the Wii Remote each time. As they do, they’ll unlock more microgames and souvenirs.
Special powers/weapons/moves/features: The game’s full-body controls add a whole new level of insanity to an already frenetic experience.

A gimmicky game is not a gimmick if it's made over and over.

And a gimmicky game of this quality is abolutely phenomenal the first time, great the second, but after a while, it's probably a good idea to start spending your money either on other games, or on things that actually matter[!!]. And to explain my first sentence, the game has basically lost the ability to claim originality and a unique zaniness anymore...

Sure it now has the Wii Controller to 'revolutionize' it once more, but still, a lot of other games will be equally, and hopefully even more unique in their use of the controller.

It'll still sell fine in Japan because they eat this stuff up.

Oh man. I played Wario Ware for hours with my friends. It seems perfect with that "remote" controller. If I get a Wii, I'll probally get this game.

Thank you, SPPf! :)
Back when the Revolution controller was first revealed, I could only think of one game that could actually work well with it - WarioWare. I'm not surprised one bit by this. Apparently Ashley is back, so hopeless fanboys will have something to gawk at.

I can see this game tiring out one quickly, however. The body builders are likely the ones who will rack up the highest scores in this.

I have the DS version and it never gets boring so with the Wii control you will never be bored again. There are over 200 micro games and each is different so imagine all the things you will do.

Note: E3 was just on the news though it was all about XBox 360 and PS3 and they only just mentioned the Wii which is my fav!

ArrEmmDee, you may say that, but every Wario Ware game has had a different method of controlling it. I think that this is great. Have you seen the video for it? I think that it is great how you can use this game. Putting it next to youyr waist so that you can hoola hoop.

The wario ware game was one of the first games my mum picked up in ages for the DS, and I think that nintendo is doing what it aims to in bringing older players of games back.

I heard about this yester day, but I just now found out the name of the game, and as you can tell by my name Im the biggest wario ware fan on serebii and I own the wario ware club that I just reopened on the forums

I played Wario Ware Inc on DS yesterday and it is really fun so I plan to get this. I stoped playing it for a few months though now I played it again I really want this on my future Wii, along with SSBB and Mario Galaxy.
