I know i've already asked about a psychic team but this is for my bro. He also want to go through the battle frontier and wants a water team to go through. Any suggestions?

Well, Swampert to cover electrics is a good idea.
Then, Ludicolo to cover grasses.
Gyrados to help Ludicolo.
Tentacruel also covers grasses, but can actually hurt them too with SLudge bomb, opposed to Ludicolo and Gyrados, unless you use Hidden Power.
Lanturn, like Ludicolo, covers other waters well, which mono water teams tend to struggle against.
Vaporeon is nice for baton passing imo.
Starmie and Slowbro are good bets too.

Hate to break it to you, but Relicanth sucks. And Golduck is average at best.

Good Water-types include Vaporeon, Lapras, Starmie, Milotic, Suicune, Swampert, Ludicolo, Slowbro, and Gyarados.

I agree with you largely there. I did forget to mention Milotic, although I dont think Lapras is really worth it. And yes, Relicanth does suck, and Suicune is a better Golduck.

Isnt sloking just as good as Slobro possibly even better.

No, Slowking is worse than Slowbro because Slowbro can learn Calm Mind. Paired with his already outstanding Defense, Calm Mind ensures that Slowbro also has great Special Defense, as well as boosting his Special Attack. I suppose that one could argue that Slowking is just as good since he can learn Curse, but the fact remains that Slowbro/Slowking are more fit out to be Special sweepers, so Calm Mind Slowbro is better than Curse Slowking.

@SHUCKLE_MAN: Just in case you didn't know, my post was directed towards the creator of this thread. And I agree with all of your points too. Swords Dance Tentacruel can indeed be quite a monster.

@Shining Master: No offense, but those are horrible sets. But you are right in saying that the creator of this thread should post a team to get rated, not ask for team members.

@the creator of this thread: If you want movesets for the suggested Pokemon, please ask.

I won't give up!
A mono Water type team...

A good pokémon would be Swampert , since it covers those electrics that'll crush you. Another good one would be Ludicolo , with its resistance to Grass and the ability to take out other waters. For your last pokémon I prefer Starmie , an all-out sweeper.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Brave nature
- Earthquake
- Curse
- Rest
- Surf / Ice Beam

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Trait : Rain Dish
Modest nature
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain
- Surf
- Rain Dance

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid nature
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Recover / Psychic

Relicanth does not suck. :<(

Use a Starmie since it rocks at sweeping and a Swampert for its defenses and STAB Earthquake.

Ludakrix

Legen-waitforit-dary
yes... relicanth sucks.

Swampert by far. Too good to pass up.

Then go to Ludicolo with its ablity to kill other waters.

lastly go with Starmie, the best water sweeper by far

No, it does not suck. :<( :<( :<( :<(

Starmie does a good job of killing other Waters, making Ludicolo a useless staller.

Obviously Tazzler, you stand alone in the fact that Relicanth does not suck. Please enlighten us with your reasons.

Ludicolo does a good job of killing other Waters too. Though one-on-one Starmie would definitely beat Ludicolo, especially if it has Rapid Spin (to get rid of Leech Seed) and Recover.

Relicanth is a really cool pokemon and if you guys can't see that, well sucks for you. =[ It has decent Attack and great HP and Defense. Rock STAB is always nice as well as access to Earthquake. It may be outclassed by other Waters/Rocks, but its better than most ****. I'd rather use it over a ****ing Ludicolo.

...We can't build a team for you. >_> You're going to have to think of it yourself. (or your brother is. o.o)
