there really isnt one. every type has its advantages and disadvantages, theres no overall "best" type, just like theres no overall "best" pokemon.

Probably water because there's about 100 different Pokemon to choose from (actually). But any combination of HP Grass and an Electric move will sadly own most Water types save Ludicolo which will sucumb over time.

There is no best type, but I prefer Steel and Dark, but Sableye doesn't have any weaknesses due to his types of Ghost-Dark

Dragon and Steel are they most common "Best types" and if one was crowned, it would be one of these.

i dont know about dragon types. their only strength is against, well, other dragon types, which there arent really an abundance of.
and steel types are taken down easy by fire and water.
there really isnt a best type.

Water is probably the best type. If a water pokemon has high enough HP or SDef, not even a strong Electric type can instantly kill. Normal types are also pretty good. Good thing they aren't super effective against anything, or else they would be the best types.

I also like Dragon cause like my Latias can take about 3 or 4 Ice Beams before going down

water, because it is weak against only electric and grass...
buit my favorite type combination is
water/dragon
cause it's only weak versus dragon:)
