Weaville Evolution

Lucario21

<< You talkin to me?
Well, I have not seen a thread like this, but if it already exists, do me a favor take it away.

Anyway, I was wondering how Sneasel would evolve into Weaville, I don't think it will be by leveling it up, do you think it might be trading with an item attached? Because I have 1 Lvl. 100 Sneasel and ofcourse, it has no room to level up. I think you have to trade with something that benefits to a dark pokemon, maybe BlackGlasses. What do you think?

1. Trade holding an item. (It CANNOT be Blackglasses, as that breaks the Law of Conservation of Game Mechanics. It has to be a newly introduced item.)
2. Use an item. (See parenthesized statement of (1.).)
3. Something new and weird. Level up while inside some special shrine? Play some minigame with it? Do something with a new, volatile mechanic similar to happiness?

Do you have diamond and peral yet? I doubt that they would change the evolution because some person has a lvl 100 sneasle. But on topic, I think that sneasle will evolve at around lvl 30-ish.

My guess is the invention of a new stone, though not likely, or holding an item and trading.

It CAN NOT be by leveling up, if it will then how it didn't evolve in G/S/C/FR/LG/R/S/E, so it will evolve by hloding a new item then trading or using a new item or using a whole new way of evolving.

You mean like skitty in 3rd generation?

Skitty was an exception.

I totally agree with your insight 100 percent... lol, Law of Conservation of Game Mechanics, how clever.

No, Skitty is a NEW pokemon. New Pokemon can evolve with old items in a new game. It's old pokemon that can't evolve with old items in new games. ;P

I'm hoping it's not trade w/ item. I hate having to trade to evolve. D=

I'm hoping we get a new way that doesn't involve levelling.

Considering Skitty didn't "exsist" until Hoenn, there was nothing for the Moon Stone to evolve.

As for Weavile, I don't know, some trade item. I can see it being one of those Pokemon...it seems very Johto like.

No, it wasn't. Skitty didn't exist prior to the third generation so you couldn't use a Moon Stone on a Skitty beforehand. What is meant by MetalMario's post is for a Pokemon to evolve/breed via items, they cannot be items we've had in previous generations as they would not be able to explain why the items had no similar effect in previous games.

EXAMPLES:

-Marill and Wobbuffet were able to breed in the second generation and produced baby Marill and Wobbuffett respectively. To obtain a Wynaut or Azurill, one of the parents had to be holding an item not inventede prior to the third generation. Therefore, the Law of Conservation of Game Mechanics (awesome name) has not been broken.

-Eevee has the option of evolving into Espeon or Umbreon in the second generation. This is done by acheiving maximum happiness quota during either day or night time. As there was neither a happiness quota nor was their any sense of real time in the first generation, Eevee was not able to evolve into either of these two Pokemon. Therefore, the Law of Conservation of Game Mechanics has not been broken.

Using Skitty as an example is irrelevant as it and any Pokemon relating to it have not yet existed for more than one generation of games. Using the same logic, we can definitely ascertain we will not find a Pokemon which evolves from Tropius (for example) by way of a Leaf Stone yet it is entirely possible for a Pokemon to evolve into a Tropius via Leaf Stone.

EDIT - God damn you K.C.! Beat me to it...

heres the deal

skitty wasnt in 3rd gen so it can evolve with moon stone

so

just like eevee moon stone+eevee=/= umbreon

because moon stone and eevee were around then

same with sneasle it will need a new way to evolve

I agree with them. Weavile cannot be evolved by equipping a Quick Claw to Sneasel and trading it, because it would have worked in the second generation, because the Quick Claw was in Gold and Silver.

Therefore, Sneasel WILL NOT evolve by:
(1) Leveling up; if that were the case, it would have evolved in the second generation and Weavile would have existed then.
(2) Trading while equipped with an item we know of; it has to be a new item, like "Black Claw" or something else weird.
(3) Happiness, because of (1).

I'm guessing that Weavile might be like Milotic, you have to pump up a Sneasel's condition(maybe its Toughness or Coolness) to max then level it up. Of course, that violates (1), but who knows? Maybe they'll introduce a new condition, which would mean new contests! :D

Another way Weavile could evolve from Sneasel is it could be the first UNHAPPINESS evolution. You know how some Pokemon evolve when they really love you? Maybe you have to make Sneasel really HATE you(drop its happiness to 0) and then level it a level. Again, this violates (1).

Off topic, I thnk Munchlax will evolve by level up(like Wynaut).

Yeah Ice stonewould be great! :D and some new evee evolutions to go with the new stones... I'm hoping there wont be oo many pokemon that are trade with item material, I hope its just something cheap that I can live with like 'due to the unique climate in shinou coupled wih sneasels experience...' and not ATTATCH A VIRGIN MARY STATUE!

*dons Grammar Nazi outfit, corrects your typos and bashes with dictionary* It's not Sneasle, it is Sneasel. Why in Hell do people find this so hard to spell? *goes in hissy fit* It's like those who spell EEVEE wrong.

Back on topic, I think Sneasel will become Weavile via trade, holding a brand new item. I don't like the sound of making Sneasel's happiness go down to 0, as i'd hate to make my Sneasels dislike me. >(
