What are some weird things you found out about Pokemon moves?

Mine are:

1. Why does Vine Whip have only 10 PP?

2. Why does Thunderpunch have the same PP as Thunderbolt yet Thunderbolt is stronger?

CharizardMaster

Belgian Waffles!!!
Why does dive have only 10 pp?

Well, since Dig had only 10 and Dive is like the water version of Dig...I guess it was supposed to be that way.

It is kinda weird though since Fly has 15...

I remember in G/S/C that false swipe had 47 PP.

Oh so is this a thread where we talk about th weird PP a move has? Then False Swipes having 47 PP! What? Oh well if you say so! XD But I thought it had something different then 47! I thought it was always a multiple of 5 or something like that. Mabye you were looking at Netbattle stats cause they always have like 18 or something like that! So also I was wondering why Dive had 10 PP aswell but now I guess I know why! XD

No I don't go on netbattle. I'm pretty sure it was 47PP. Splash, 40 pp....

Hm...IDK that seems really weird that False Swipe would have 47? That doesn't seem right! But if it says so that it has have 47 then it has 47.

Maybe because he used a PP up to increase it.
Dive and Dig have 10 pp because u cant be hit for 1 turn.

why does fire blast, blizzard, and hydro pump have 5 pp. Yet thunder has 10 pp and they do the same damage

Someone already beat me to it... Thunder having 10 PP yet having the same base power as Blizzard, Fire Blast and Hydro Pump which all have 5 PP.

IMO I think Night Shade shouldn't be level based. It should be a move with a secondary effect eg confusion or lowered accuracy.

You do get Nightmare using Gastly and it's Evolutions and Hypno that are only from FR/LG Version's of GBA

Why does Softboiled have 10PP while Recover has 20PP
Although they do the same thing?

And how can Bite and Crunch, two very physically inclined attacks, be Special? (forget about being Dark type, it still makes little sense)

Vine Whip's measly ten PP has already been asked... Minimize having 5 more PP than Double Team... but I guess it's because oddly enough, Stomp does double damage to a Minimized Pokemon.

Nobody has mentioned these yet?

- Fire attacks work like normal underwater (How you get your Charizard to survive underwater is beyond me)
- Surf and Muddy Water instantly summons a tital wave out of nowhere
- When Rain Dance, Sunny Day and Hail are used indoors, it suddenly gets sunny, starts raining, or hailing. Indoors.
- Earthquake does not damage the surrounding area or any of the trainers (Disregarding the the crack that forms under the target that fills up after the attack o_o)

More:

1. Why doesn't Rain Dance damage Fire Pokemon? The rain seems to be coming down pretty hard...

2. Why don't Bone Club/Bonemarang affect Flying type Pokemon?

weirdest thing to me

why is it than when you use sleep-powder or sing, you only put your opponent to sleep for 1, maybe 2 turns. But when they use the move on you, your asleep for at least four turns :(
