Same here. Starts out a crafty scam on the Trio's part, then they end up heroes for real.

Also love it for being about the one time the TRio got to use one of their mech's in a heroic effort (still annoyed Meowth has yet to use one in an enemy mine with Pikachu, say it wouldn't be awesome).

This was one of the best Chronicle specials, hand down. It was terrific, though I think they focused too much on Team Rocket being "evil" and didn't concentrate more on their heroics in this episode till the end. I liked how Dr. Brown and Team Rocket worked together and I really enjoyed Kate.

For once we saw Team Rocket as heroes even though they did nothing to deserve the hospitality of the villagers. And what was with the flock of Taillow?

It was bizarre to see the Rocket-dan fight a mecha and be treated as heroes for once, yet it was such an entertaining twist. Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyasu being mistaken for the Suketto-dan was amusing, as were Brown-hakase's true motives. The fact that a flock of wild Subame were the villains in this special was a refreshing change of pace, too.

Awwww my Rocketshippy heart couldn't help but expand when Jessie said, "Oh, no!" when she saw James and Kate talking. It showed how much Jessie feared losing James.

I now wonder if the flock of Subame here was meant to be related to the same flock that Satoshi and his friends encountered at the Forest of Touka at the beginning of Advanced Generation.
