What about the "legendary" bootlegs, Pokemon Diamond & Jade?

Yeah, I've played Jade version but, oh man, it freaked me out! I heard some idiot game maker couldn't sell his game so he thought it would be a brillant idea if he added Pocket Monsters to the name. But that's just what I've heard :D . But have you also noticed the GS symbol on the cartridge? What a discrace! Calling it a part of the Gold/Silver/Crystal saga? Exactly!

Hmm, interesting, is it true that a bit of dialogue at the begining is actually TEN MINUTES LONG?!?!?

What did you do exactly in Jade, give a small review if you can!

I'm all eyes! :D

I hear this was a hack of another monster-raising game on the GBC, Telefang. I'm personally a big fan of the monster-raising genre, and though I have yet to try this game out myself, I wish some of you guys would view this game for what it is. To me, it sounds like you're treating this as a Pokemon game (which I repeat, it is not) and put it down for being a "poor installment", which is really unfair to poor Telefang. Just because some guy out there decided to bootleg it and market it as part of a really popular series, it's getting shunned as one of the worst games in existance.

When you beat the other "pokemon" they give you their PHONE NUMBER! One asked me if I like curry! You walk through a tree that looks like the deku tree from zelda : the oracles to reach the electric monster world. but okay if the battle system was touched up and the dialog better translated it could be good. One of the the I LIKED about it was how you could choose a pokemon to follow you.

Exactly. That's why I stopped playing after starting over two times.

Yup. I think everyone that has played the game has noticed that

And that's one of the parts you think might have been ripped. Plus the translations are AWFUL!

What's the buzz?
I kinda liked the game!
I keep downloading it, but it seems Diamond is more common than Jade...

ive played it and a lot of the translations are really bad, plus the intro doesnt really give you an insight into what is going on.

I played Diamond. Made it nearby at the end, but when I heard it is fake, I stopped playing it right then.

Anyway, its story wasn't like other pokemon games and all new pokemons, at least Pikachu should have been there.
PS: Some pokemons learn Dive in early levels there! :p

Macho man!
i heard the games were really stupid and know for a fact that it is only sold on ebay wich should tell you that it didnt make the market and that screams out FAKE but you should all know this......

First of all, Yamato-san is right, this is actually Keitai Denjuu Telefang. Jade being Power version and Diamond being Speed version. I'd like to reitterate and say that...

THIS IS NOT A REAL POKEMON GAME.

The translation is what, sadly, other people base their hate for this game. I played this game very far into it before it became mean and deleted my file. I found it pretty interesting, way more evolution branches than there will ever be in Pokemon. And remember.

THIS IS NOT A REAL POKEMON GAME.

Yes, a Chinese guy translated it. No, the dialogue is not 10 minutes long. Stop making judgments when you've only played it for 5 minutes.

Um...I loved Telefang...I hade both bootlegs, knowing what they were, TELEFANG, and, loved them more than pokemon...no reason, just do. Wish Telefang 2 Speed and Power came over aswell...

only complaint...Battle system is subpar compared to pokemon, which is completely a rip off of Final Fantasy 4, cept they don't have rows...

Well, the battle system, isn't really a complete rip off of Final Fantasy 4 due to the fact that there's a wait time that fluctuates every fight, last time I called an ally, it took over 10 turns before it arrived. >_> And I never bothered with the D magical attacks, the charge time was way too long xD It may be subpar but the concept of time affecting arrival of allies is pretty unique, it makes calling realistic, there wouldn't be any need for the trainer phone if they were always by your side. xP

One peeve I have is the translation for the trainer people, it is translated as "T Mildew". Which really makes me wanna laugh, but it's so annoying. At least Antenna Tree is remotely realistic. Not like T mildew. >_> The T isn't even capitalized.

I think whoever did the translations hosed this game up. It is rather decent for being a 'fake' game, but it isn't a bad game at all.

You heard wrong. The people who made the game weren't the ones who translated it and illegally sold them as Pokemon games.
