What am I Doing Wrong?

I'm hatching for a Adamant Skarmory with Drill Peck. Okay, I saved right b4 it hatched. I hatched it and it had a Sassy nature so I SRed and hatched it again and it was still Sassy. What am I doing wrong?

Did you save before or after you got the egg? Since if you saved afterwards, the nature and IV's will be stuck since the natures and IV's (and shininess too) are determined once the old man gives you the egg. Also, Impish is a better nature than Adamant for Skarm, but whatever.

What he said. The nature/IV's/shiny is determined once you receive the egg. So you can't SR it right before it hatches, you need to save before you talk to the old man and receive the egg.

And actually, the Nature and gender stay the same, even if you save before taking it.

The IV's will change however. And if it can have one of two natures, that'll probably change also.

Instead of saving before you get the egg, I much rather prefer that you get a bunch of eggs instead. This will speed up the process.

Natures? Don't you mean abilities/traits?

And what Xtra said is true, I believe, the nature/gender stay the same, but the individual values change. And I've heard the abilities change, too, but I am not 100% sure on this.
