In-Depth:
ambipom.png

Ambipom @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpAtk)
EV's: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
1. Fake Out
2. Return
3. Taunt
4. U-Turn

I really like all that Ambipom has done for me in all the battles I have used it in. Definitely a lifesaver in my team. Fake Out to break any focus sashes, Taunt if I suspect a setup, then hit hard with Return. It really packs a punch to leads such as Azelf and Infernape. If she is unable to get a good hit with Return (ie: Brongzong, Heatran, etc.) then I will U-Turn out and switch to a sweeper than can absorb the hit I suspect the opponent to use. The typical Ambipom set, which hasn't failed me yet. :3

Team Synergy:
Fighting: Zapdos / Gallade / Metagross

metagross.png

Metagross @ Occa Berry
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant OR Jolly
EV's: 252 HP / 236 Attack / 20 Speed
1. Stealth Rock
2. Earthquake
3. Meteor Mash
4. Reflect

I was at first going to use Jirachi, but then I realized, "Wow, my team has a huge Heatran dent in it." So, thinking of a way to fix it and still keep some bulk, I went with Metagross. Mainly due to the fact that it has good defenses, is able to set up Stealth Rock, and use Earthquake to take down that damn Heatran. Other than that, it is definitely a nice wall for my team. Set up Reflect to aid my team in it's otherwise low defenses, and the Occa Berry is there to help when the opponent tries using Fire Blast. Meteor Mash for some nice STAB to help take down Rock types that normally have Earthquake.

Team Synergy:
Ground: Milotic
Fire: Milotic

milotic.png

Milotic @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
EV's: 148 HP / 252 Defense / 108 SpAtk
1. Surf
2. Hypnosis
3. Ice Beam
4. Recover

I love Milotic, so of course I had to put her in my team. She is able to absorb many hits, as well as deal some damage in return. Hypnosis to put the foe to sleep so I can hit hard with STAB surf. Ice Beam to take down Roserades and other annoying grass types that might pose a threat. Recover is there to restore health when needed. She is a good counter against DDMence, as well as Dragonite. The bulk helps take in Outrages and Ice Beam takes down bulky dragons fast.

Team Synergy:
Grass: Zapdos
Electric: Metagross

zapdos.png

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Modest
EV's: 248 HP / 228 Defense / 32 Speed
1. Thunderbolt
2. Thunder Wave
3. Heat Wave
4. Roost

This is basically a bulky Zapdos with a twist. I needed a good Scizor and Heracross counter, and Zapdos definitely plays the part well. Being resistant to Steel, Bug, and Fighting, and having Heat Wave in its arsenal, it is the perfect way to take down Scizor, and fast. Thunderbolt is there as primary STAB. Thunder Wave is to help slow down any opponents and might save me from a potential KO. Roost is to heal HP as it whittles away. Zapdos FTW!

Team Synergy:
Rock: Milotic / Metagross / Gallade
Ice: Gallade

mismagius.png

Mismagius @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
Ev's: 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed / 4 HP
1. Nasty Plot
2. Shadow Ball
3. Substitute
4. Thunderbolt

Mismagius is a good sweeper to send in against one of its three immunities. Switching it in against opposing Ambipoms and Persians allow their Fake Out to be a complete waste, while I set up a substitute when they switch out. Use Nasty Plot to boost its already nice Special Attack, and then send out some nice damage with STAB shadow ball. Thunderbolt allows for some type coverage and can easily take out Gyarados after a nasty plot. A bit frail, but is definitely capable of taking out a nice chunk of the opponent's team.

Team Synergy:
Ghost: Gallade
Dark: Gallade / Ambipom (U-Turn)

gallade.png

Gallade @ Expert Belt
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP
1. Swords Dance
2. Close Combat
3. Psycho Cut
4. Night Slash

Gallade is basically the core of my team. After a Swords Dance, he is capable of taking out so many threats, including Tyranitar, Lucario, Gengar, Froslass, etc. Expert Belt really helps him take out what he switches in on, and Fake Outs only help aid him in his sweeping due to Steadfast. He is the main sweeper of my team, and has proved to be incredibly useful in all the battles he has been in.

Team Synergy:
Flying: Zapdos / Milotic
Ghost: Mismagius / Gallade

Jade since no one else replied to you post, I will. your team is very good and does not need any suggestions/advice so don't feel down.

Fossil Man

CRAGLY-HO!
I like your team as well, nice range of types and kudos on using Ambipom since he seems to be one of those "weak looking, but still awesome pokemon" that I always wondered how they worked

My only complaint is due to a personal choice; that's Zapdos. Zapdos isn't typically considered part of the Uber teir but I myself consider it as a "legendary" type, which I really try not to use because they make things seem to easy for me.

So this team should immediately make it to the top of the leaderboards? This is not a rate.

You do realise that Ambipom was the most used UU Lead in November? It appeared on 11.71% of teams...

In-game, I agree with you. But competitively, even legendaries struggle in all tiers.

On topic...
@ OP, I will only talk about your UU Pokémon because that is the only tier that I play in...

• Ambipom
This moveset is good, although I would like to point out that Adamant is not an ability and Technician is not a Nature =P
Run a Jolly Nature > Adamant. In competitive battling, speed is everything and you cannot afford to come behind every other Pokémon with the same base Spe as you. To make up for this loss of Atk, put in Life Orb > Silk Scarf for a good boost in power.

• Milotic
I am not particularly experienced with this Pokémon, but it's looking good to me. I'll leave it.

• Mismagius
This is a great set. I have used this many times myself, and it works well. You could consider HP Fighting > Thunderbolt, but I don't really think it's as necessary in OU as it is in UU.

• Gallade
Again, this thing needs a Jolly nature, and with Swords Dance, you really have no reason not to use it. Speaking of things to use, have Shadow Sneak > Night Slash. IMO, every team needs some priority, and Gallade uses it well alongside Swords Dance.

Hope it helps. :)

that modest nature on zap make work against your choice of drill peck.. id drop it altogether and hope he has a decent hp.. or even twave is a better choice, i think i would drop night slash for leaf blade on gallade as it has better OU coverage, and what are you hoping to outspeed with meta with just 20 evs (5 points) in speed?

Thank you for the compliment. :3 Ambipom has really helped my team out, and I thought the same thing at first.

Zapdos technically is a legendary, but not an uber. Just OU. It helps take care of a lot of my team's weaknesses. It doesn't really make things too easy, it just helps in the long run.

Haha, my bad. I didn't notice the Ability/Nature error. :p I fixed it now. And yeahh, I was considering replacing Adamant with Jolly, I feel the same when it comes to speed over power. I might do so.

With Gallade, I agree again with the Jolly nature. I just wasn't sure if I wanted speed over power for most of my team. Gallade has worked well for me on Shoddy so far, so I might keep Adamant. But, I will try out both to see which one I like better. Night Slash is really only there to help take care of the ghost types that otherwise cause trouble for me, like Dusknoir, as it has more power than Shadow Sneak. I agree with priority though, so again, I might try it out to see which one I like better.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted it. I am going to replace it with Thunder Wave, definitely. I kind of rushed through the whole typing thing and wasn't thinking completely, as you could tell with my Ambipom error. :p

I thought about the Leaf Blade thing but Night Slash has worked wonders for me so far in OU so I don't think I will be replacing it any time soon.

Yeah, I might change those EV's into something more useful, such as some extra Special Defense. The speed hasn't helped it much, so I can agree with that.

Thank you all for your replies. :D
