• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Emotions? But...but I'm a guy, we are not supposed to feel emotions unless it is in the most extreme nature and circumstance of something epic. Almost as if we were experiencing the view of things only tomoki from sora no oroshimono got to see.

I have not seen Sora no Oroshimono but there's a a 40% chance you're talking about breasts.

Clannad has all the emotions, that's why it's amazing.

Angels and high school girls with D cups to be exact. Ah anime, slapping humanity in the face, one boob jiggle or panty-shot at a time.

I don't know if it's just because I'm in a good mood tonight or what but both episodes I watched were surprisingly fantastic.

I've kinda come to terms with Black Rock Shooter using CGI animation for the fight sequences. I still vastly prefer them to be hand drawn like the original OVA. Even with the CGI replicating the style perfectly frame by frame it still look unnatural in moving form. But I respect Imaishi's directing so much that I'll let it slide. The episode itself started off average, and then got very instense near the end, and I'm talking on both sides. I didn't expect BRS the show or the OVA to confront the issue head on like it did, and the payoff was definitely worth it. Plus that ending man, it left me on the edge of my seat. Perfect cliffhanger.

Persona 4... that was reaching Key levels of sad. I'm serious. I dunno if it's my current "everything is awesome" attitude right now or what because I felt so sad for Nanako in that episode. I really like her character even though I usually hate the little cute sister archetype. I was so happy everything worked out in the end, I'm hoping the rest of the show retains that sort of grip on me.

So I watched the first episode of the Madoka dub, and as I expected it was terrible, so I'm re-watching it subbed to get the voices out of my head.

I get like that when I see Clannad dubbed. Not that it's that much of a terrible dub but... yeah.

lol this one caught my eye because it was the only one NOT bolded.

What is this?

They're just random little shorts that apparently came on the BDs or something. I just happened to see the seven that exist right now a while back so it's been sitting pretty on the 'watching' list until the rest materialize.

Yeah, the CGI's alright. It gives the Other World a genuinely abnormal look to it. Makes it more... well, other worldly. This week was an improvement over last week but I'm still not sure I appreciate Dead Master being turned into a damsel-in-distress and being replaced by a more straightforward antagonist.

Tutu apparently has 38 episodes, but the second season episodes are made of half-length episodes.
Mahou Shoujou Madoka★Magica 3/12
Rewatching it on my snazzy new widescreen monitor, as last time I only used Watchanimeon's tiny little window. Hoping to better appreciate the animation at this level of quality.

Nisemonogatari was particularly good this week. Generally, I don't think the balance has been quite as good as in Bakemonogatari overall, but I'm still really enjoying the series.

I want to watch something, but I don't know what. I'm tempted to just marathon Puella Magi Madoka Magica ahead of the anime society, but I think it'd be a bit of a waste of time since I'm going to be watching it there anyway.

You would be correct on that front, and it's the numerous attempts made and how badly tomoki fails at those attempts that i'm refering to as he can make an epic little speech during each attempt about how critical it is he succeeds.

Also, I'm giving Hetalia: Axis Powers a try, but I'm not so sure I can do 5 minutes of video for episodes. It is really confusing to watch and at the speed they talk, oh it's so hard to keep up with the subbing.

No, watch it dubbed. The accents make a big difference.

any site that has it dubbed? I'm watching on animefreak, but they just have the sub for it. This way I cut down on my google search time searching for it.
