So I finally caught up with Attack on Titan. I expected crazy plot twists but that was just insane. Most people here are already watching it, but since I don't want to spoil it let's just say that it makes the mid series plot twists in Gurren Lagann and Death Note seem safe

Just finished Tamako Market. I'm an avid defender of KyoAni and a huge K-On fan but Tamako Market was just bad. Easily the worst thing that has ever come out of KyoAni. If K-On is a moe masterpiece, Tamako is a moe mess. 4/10

Planning to marathon Berserk tonight. Apparently the ending is terrible so I'll be looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.

Berserk- 5/25

I really like watching a good old anime but it's rare for me to find one that stands the passage of time. Bebop is a timeless classic but Evangelion hasn't aged very well at all even if its impact still lingers. People say you should judge a show in the context of when it came out but I refuse to ignore writing flaws because of such a stupid reason. If it doesn't stay relevant, the writer has failed.

So why am I saying this? Well, it's because Berserk is nothing like that. Its animation is severely dated but at this point its plot and characters stand head and shoulders above even the best of what's currently airing. Hopefully I don't fall asleep while marathoning this. It's amazing stuff

Tamako Market > Munto.

Putting my massive KyoAni bias aside, Munto's only redeeming factor was Ono Daisuke.

Haven't seen Munto and don't plan to any time soon but I thought Tamako was pretty bad. Although I will say that I liked the ED them and enjoyed Kanna's presence. Pretty much everything else about the show I hated. People complain about how 'nothing happens in K-On' but I would prefer nothing over a soulless mess of subplots and sappy romance that never goes anywhere
