Just watched the first dramatic 3-episode arc of the series, the one where Kagura's father is introduced. Can I expect the next one of these arcs to hit harder?

Not sure about hitting harder, but the Benizakura arc (episodes 58-61) is much better imo.

It's hard to not get diabetes from such a show. I'd say its White Fox's answer to Hidamari Sketch and K-ON!. Plus, getting diabetes from Gochuumon is more likely than dying. True fact. Compared to 100% of people who die, 200% get diabetes from watching Gochuumon. Ask anyone, they would agree after watching Gochuumon.*

I don't think it's quite that good content wise, cute girl wise it's definitely up there though.

But we don't have the cast yet, do we... Still, so happy to hear it'll start in July. This is going to be my graduation present. I will happily watch it again dubbed for two seasons.

How is it executed much better in those 2? The characterization of both around episode 6 wasn't that much different from Gochuumon. Unless marathoning them makes them better, I don't see your reasoning

Maybe executed wan a terrible word to use. In a plotless slice of life like this, it's all about the characters, and I liked the casts of K-ON! and Hidamari Sketch much more than the one we have here.

That was a terrible way to word it. Now, I actually agree with you. Both have better characters right now, but I'm holding my opinion of Gochuumon until it finishes, since, you know, the characters could get really great next couple episodes. Tippy and Lize are great, though

So, the first 7 episodes of Captain Earth were a giant prologue, of sorts? Cool

Finally finished MSG. Only took 4 months. Lala was a cool character, and the conflict between Char and Amuro was resolved nicely enough. The Newtypes thing was a nice idea, but seemed shoehorned in pretty late

Finally finished the entire Amagami SS series. It's definitely one of my more favorites series out there that I've seen. Despite it being very simple, I just fell in love with all of the characters, and it became a joy just to watch them every episode. Kinda sad that it's over, but at the same time I'm glad since I'm not a fan of stuff getting dragged out longer than it needs to. My only complain was that the girl in the last episode of the first season should have had more episodes. I mean, yeah she had her little cameos here and there (some of which worked perfectly for her character), but only one episode for her while the rest of the girls had a handful of episodes each was a bit of a bummer. Other than that, no complains here.

And with that out of the way, I will (finally) work on the airing anime I've been falling behind on. I'm almost expecting to put WIXOSS on hold unless the 3rd episode catches my attention. The others I should make it through just fine.
