Technically the first isekai would be spirited away but the term isekai didn't exist at the time.Started watching Re:Zero, which I think is the first Isekai that started AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL the others ones and then made way for complete (weird) sentences as anime titles. Currently going through episode 10.
...66 episodes? This is going to take a while...

I was surprised Christian bale voiced that oneOhh I remember watching that as a kid, good movie. Kiki's delivery service was another classic I would watch it every time it came on HBO, and of course Howl's Moving Castle not bad for a Batman movie.

Close, but wrong. Familiar of Zero is what really started it back in 2004. The website it came from had a bunch of fanfiction writers writing stories in the style of it, including the guy (or girl, idk) who did Re:Zero. And when the Re:Zero web novel and the Sword Art Online anime both debuted in 2012, that's when things kicked into really high gear on the isekai front.Started watching Re:Zero, which I think is the first Isekai that started AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL the others ones and then made way for complete (weird) sentences as anime titles. Currently going through episode 10.
