What are Optional Missions?

Optional missions are just missions that you find on the job bullitans and outlaw boards.

Optional missions have nothing to do with the plot they are just ways for you to explore get money and items.

As their name says, optional missions are just that - missions that are optional. They aren't needed in advancing the plot, but are rather there for you to boost your levels, and sometimes to explore new [but unrequired] places, recruit new Pokemon and get new items.
