To recruit Groudon its -10% with your level 42 scpetile and your friend bow it makes it 7.5% chance to recruit him.

I will explain.

Groudon and ray haves a 10% NEGATIVE chance that means.

Whith a 40+ You get a 7.5 percent + Friebd bow =17.5 Bonus.

Though since groudon recruit rate is negative you minus it.

17.5-10 = 7.5.

i'm in sixth grade and i still don't understand. i used to be a whiz at math in like K-4.
ontopic you need size one team i think though or size two.

no idea if this will help, since frustratingly i cannot recruit a single legendary (except latias and latios, who r special, and Celebi is too hard to get to.)
u can do the following to help u recruit them
*do not bring a partner, if ur partner kills it, and not u, it wont join.
*use friend bow
*increase ur lvl to above 50
*increase rescue force rank to plantinum or diamond
*kill it right next to it, or it wont join.
*dont stop trying, they r harder to kill than with a pokeball, becuse u gotta climb the dungeon again and again.
*Groudon is lvl 30-40, so make ur guy twice as high, or only + 1/4 of his lvl, so like get 10 more vlvls above 40, with a friend bow.
*Good luck, and if u get him, TELL ME HOW U LUCKY DUDE!

well, okay. im at lv.45 now. i think im gonna use all the wonder mail codes where all the rewards are joy seeds....

Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres have an initial 30% chance to recruit and if you're level at least 90 and you have the friend bow, it's a 64% chance.
Mewtwo can be recruited if you defeated him twice.
Mew has a 0.9% initial chance to recruit. If youre level 90+ with the friend bow, it's a 34.9% chance.
Raikou, Entei, and Suicune have an initial 0.1% chance to recruit and it's best that you're level 90+ with the friend bow and it makes it 34.1%.
Lugia is recruitable even if you defeated him once.
Ho-Oh can be recruited if you defeated him twice.
Celebi will join you if you reach him at the 99th floor in the Purity Forest.
Regirock, Regice, and Registeel have an initial 0.1% chance to recruit, and it's best to be level 90+ with the friend bow and have a specific item.
Latias and Latios will join your team after you saved Latias.
Kyogre has a 50% chance to be recruited initially. Up to 84% chance to recruit if you're level 90+ and have the friend bow.
Groudon has a -10% chance to recruit, so you required to be at least level 60 (or level 30 with the friend bow). So it's best to be level 90+ with the friend bow for a 24% chance. It also applies with Rayquaza.
You can recruit Jirachi at any time, but you won't be able to make a wish.
You have up to a 24% chance to recruit Deoxys. (level 90+ w/friend bow)
