What are the group memberships?

In the User CP, there is a Group Memberships panel. What are these for? I've been in a few and nothing happened.

Another Question: When I join the Manga, is that for PokéSpecial or all of them. I'm not a fan of Special, but I like Dengeki Pikachu.

It's just a fun little thing, though the Fizzy Bubbles group lets you joing Fizzy Bubbles.

It covers all manga, IIRC.

What about RPGer? Is that for stuff like Fizzy or is it for stuff like Pokémon/Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy? Or is it for both?
