If your going for attacking moves, make sure you have natures and EV's that support that idea.
Meteor Mash misses sometimes, but its still probably the best Steel move, so I'd use it.
Can never go wrong with Earthquake.
I like Shadow Ball for type coverage, but Rock Slide helps with pesky flying Fire types....Certain Popular ones....Like Charizard, but who says you can't take Earthquake out for Rock Slide, Earthquake is strong, but doesn't cover many things that Rock Slide doesn't
The Last one is a toss up, could be agilty, another attack move, Explosion to go out with a VERY strong bang.

what does shadow ball cover? MM does almost as much damage to any ghost/psychic type you may be fighting.
and as for taking out EQ for RS, having just RS and MM leaves you with NVE moves against almost every steel-type in the game, as well as poliwrath and swampert.
stick with one of the sets i posted earlier.

i prefer my metagrosses to be of a naughty nature, but thats just a personal preferance.

Meteor Mash and Psychic for STAB, Brick Break to take care of Steel types, which the aforementioned moves are ineffective against. And finally, Explosion if things get a bit desperate.

...They ONLY good special move(IMO) on Metagross is T-Punch. Metagross needs EQ and Metor Mash.

I happened to notice your suggestion of Brick Break on Metagross. That is bad and here am I.
For one, my move is 25 more base power than brick break as well as cover a variety of more types with more boost. I can do a lot to any steel type or anyhting brick break coves in general.
My friend Meteor Mash also has a complaint. he says that when Stabbed, which he does have, he is the same power as Brick Break when super-effective. It is a waste to use brick break on metagross as its attacks cover much anyhting.
Psychic is alos bad on gross since its special attack is extremely lower than its attack. Mixgross is also waste in-game (IMO).

Well, I was just posting the moveset I thought was the best, Mr Earthquake. It's up to the thread creator what moveset he chooses anyway, and what's the point of asking for help if people always give you the standard sets?
I don't think wasting a moveslot for a worthless move on gross, no in all of pokemon, is best, Mr. 37. He wants the best help and Brick Break doesn't even cut close to 'best' IMO (fact really). Standard is bets usually, I'm all up for fun sets, as long as they are usable and not a jumple of moves.

Ok, Tazzler. I just like to have sets that can deal with all eventualities. And EQ can't deal with a Skarmory. As I said, the post creator probably likes to see a variety of movesets, so he/she can decide on what he/she likes the best.
