What Berries are Based On

I have found out that almost every berry in the Pokemon RSEFrLg are based on real fruit or vegetable, like:

I never thought about this before, but all the berries really are based off of real fruit. But Tamato berries are extremely hot, and they based off of tomatoes, so how are they hot?
