what book should i get?

Well you can't learn to program without a language or a compiler.

Alot of books I've seen haven't been a good source for learning how to program. The grade 12 book I'm learning Visual Basic out of hasn't really taught me much either. They get you to do one example and suddenly expect you to do something completely different. :/

Easy, buddy. When I was your age I didn't learn anything. We learned a bit more because I was in the top class though. But when I was your age I did not learn anything because the computer room burned down along with the rest of the building (Stupid punks). Also, word processing can be useful but it is a bore.

College? Still got a long way to go. It's good to think of your future though.

What's your culture got to do with anything?

And you're in junior/primary (Whatever the system is there) school so of course they do.

my school has ancient computers(so i have to always be first to get get the best comuter it is a 2500 demention dell)
comuters were alway me best interest and my parents don't know as much as i do (that makes me feel wierd)
the prosesing is realy boring so i just play runescape the whole time no matter how many times they say dont get on the internet.

I wouldn't label any Dell's as the best computer but I suppose if the rest are ancient.

I know the feeling. That's why I also have older brother's to help not make it weird. They know more.

Probably shouldn't link to it. Besides, if you finish ahead of everyone like I normally do you just mess around in Paint and stuff.

Computer programming... I have no idea what stuff you would be leraning in college, but I'm guessing JAVA script and Visual Basic...

But you might need practice, speak to your teacher and ask if they have any programming languages you can try out and practice on first.


Oh yeah, when I was in high school, I learn Word Processing, Spreadsheets and stuff (Very straight forward...), but we also had programming with True Basic @_@

I started programming in Real Basic first (I think) as an interest - do it at lunch time or at home and then I moved on. Anyway, have a look around the school, and see what you can find : P

If you're planning to do Webpages, that's different from the languages you use for programming Games and Applications.

You get that. She probably just does what's on the curriculum.

Alot of us had to get through by learning it themself. I mean, I had to learn VB through a crappy book, MSW Logo through the sheets the year that was doing it got, HTML through websites, etc.

lol, I learnt mines from reading programs and working it out myself : )

TrueBASIC I can already work with before I was taught it because it's similar to RealBASIC.

Anyways, what are you trying to program?

I use VB .Net which is another form of VB but even powerful than VB6... although it only works on windows. I also learning now RealBasic to develop programs on the Mac....
