What do you call the Battle Frontier prizes?

Simple question: What do you call the prizes you get from the Battle Frontier Brains?

I like to call them 'signs'...sounds more mysterious than 'symbols'

I guess thats why many in-game characters call them the Frontier Symbols?
I guess thats why in almost every recent episode of the show we hear Ash constantly stating "Frontier Symbol...GETTO DAZE!"

Where are they called that? Because I looked at the Frontier Pass section and they are just called symbols there.
But that may have been put there when only the Japanese version was released and when they didn't know the name.

But why would you call them something else? I mean, you don't call a CD a videotape, right?
