What do You Expect from the Isshu Legendaries in the Anime?

1st Movie- Mewtwo (1st Gen post-game legendary) and Mew (1st Gen event-only pokemon)
2nd Movie- Lugia (2nd Gen pre-release legendary, mascot for Silver version), and Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres (1st Gen Legendary trio)

3rd Movie- Entei (2nd Gen member of the Beast trio)
4th Movie- Celebi (2nd Gen event-only pokemon) and Suicune (2nd Gen member of the Beast trio and mascot of Crystal version)
5th Movie- Latias and Latios (3rd Gen pre-release legendaries, one representing Ruby and the other representing Sapphire but neither were actual mascots)

6th Movie/1st AG Movie- Jirachi (3rd Gen event-only pokemon) and Groudon (3rd Gen mascot for Ruby version)
7th Movie/2nd AG Movie- Deoxys (3rd Gen event-only pokemon, its alternate formes are from Fire Red and Leaf Green) and Rayquaza (3rd Gen post-game boss, and mascot of Emerald version)
8th Movie/3rd AG Movie- Mew (1st Gen, second starring role in a movie) and Regirock, Regice and Registeel (3rd Gen trio)
9th Movie/4th AG Movie- Manaphy (4th Gen pre-release legendary obtainable in the first Ranger game) and Kyogre (3rd Gen mascot for Sapphire version)

10th Movie/1st DP Movie- Darkrai (4th Gen event-only pokemon) and Dialga and Palkia (mascots for Diamond and Pearl versions)
11th Movie/2nd DP Movie- Shaymin (4th Gen event-only pokemon), Dialga (4th Gen mascot for Diamond version, second starring role in a movie), Giratina (4th Gen mascot for Platinum version) and Regigigas (4th Gen post-game legendary)
12th Movie/3rd DP Movie- Arceus (4th Gen event-only pokemon), Dialga, Palkia and Giratina (4th Gen mascots for Diamond, Pearl and Platinum versions, all featured in previous movies) and Heatran (4th Gen post-game legendary)
13th Movie/4th DP Movie- Raikou, Entei and Suicune (2nd Gen Beast trio, featured together for the first time, appeared in relation to Heart Gold and Soul Silver versions)

NOTE: As yet, Ho-oh (2nd Gen mascot for Gold version and Heart Gold version), Cresselia (4th Gen post-game legendary) and the trio of Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie (4th Gen legendary trio) have not had a starring role in a movie, but have appeared in episodes of the anime



Based on what we can see, here are my predictions for the four movies of Best Wishes (I presume the wait for Generation VI will be four years, like the last two);

Movie 14- Victini (first event pokemon) plus Reshiram and Zekrom (mascots for BW)
Movie 15- Keldeo would be the event pokemon of this period, but the second movie is usually when the third version's mascot is featured. I don't see how Keldeo can appear without Cobalon, Virizion and Terrakion, and throwing Kyurem in as well might be a bit much. But either Keldeo, Kyurem or both would be the main stars
Movie 16- Meloetta would be the event pokemon, and I assume that we would see the debuts of Tornelos, Volteos and Landlos too
Movie 17- Genesect would be the event pokemon, and we'd also see at least one Generation VI pokemon in a prominent role and possibly some RSE pokemon as well (the Regi trio or Latias/Latios most likely) if they are remade for the 3DS

The one thing I'm not sure about is Victini, since it seems to have already been revealed and might actually share the spotlight with Keldeo. Of all of them, Keldeo is the one I'm most excited about seeing in a starring role, because I like the idea of a spunky little musketeer pony trying to keep up with its three brothers.

You mean movies, not anime.

In the movies it depends if how many years the anime will run, and I'd say 3 years this time, which means 3 movies. So my prediction is:
Movie 14- Victini, Reshiram and Zekrom
Movie 15- Tornelos (Flying), Voltolos (Flying, Electric), Landlos (Flying, Ground). I would like to see them in one movie.
Movie 16- Kerudio (similar to Shaymin), Genosekuto and Meloetta.

The movies are part of the anime, some of their events are just a little different and might not be considered canon in the main anime. Anyway, as I said in a similar thread a month ago, it's likely that Kerudio will star in the next movie with Victini, followed by Meloetta in the one after that, and Genesect shortly after that. Trends point to this happening so I'll go with it for now :s

I think Victini would be the second BW movie along with Kyurem. The conflict bewteen the fire and ice pokemon seems more likely than Vicky and R@m appearing in one movie. The mascots are rarely seen apart except for a cameo lassting anywhere from seconds to a few minutes, like Dialga in Movie 11. R@m will probably get a movie to themsleves.
I'm dountful about Melotta, it seems to be a minor legend so it could take a more background role like the legends of movie 8. I'm almost certain that Keldeo will get it's movie though. It seems so fitting and a pokemon that stands out among it's fellow fighting legendaries.
Genosect is another I'm certain about. I'd really like tohave that plasma backstory expanded so we can have movie with an evil team relating o a legendary again. *Cue nostalgic Mewtwo.*
I'm not sure where the cloud legends will fit in, I don't think their movie worthy however.

Before I give my input, I have to say its funny how you, Dark M, and CyberCubed take turns making threads, one day its Cyber, one day its Dark M, and then you. Well this seems like the only sensible thread, there's no bashing BW, no obessing about Dawn/May/Misty, no Isshu League speculation(though your other thread seems to be in that category, it will be closed), oh and about Iris or Dent being sidekicks and how stating the obvious.

Ok, moving on. I am going to take a shot in the dark and say that Zekrom & Reshiram wont get movies, I'd rather see them get their screentime in the Anime. Genesect, The 3 Pokemon that are part Fighting, then the 3 part Flying types get their movie. I agree with Ash-Kid with Best Wishes being 3 years, so therefore, 3 movies. But something tells me that being fast-paced, we could have less movies.

I reckon Victini and some other pokemon will be the Legend for the first Best Wishes movie.
It seems all to conveniet, by the time the film comes out they will probably have reached Hiun City where, the boat can be taken to that island with Victini on.

I'm doubting the role that Victini will play in the next movie, personally. I can't see it having some sort of amazing backstory or plot to go along with it, it just seems to be... there. I mean, sure, it could be about going to the island and finding Victini, but what conflict is there? Why would an antagonist want to capture it? At best, it'll end up like Shaymin or Giratina (whomever had the less important role in that movie; I really couldn't tell) At worst, it'll end up like Munchlax in the Deoxys movie, where it'll end up just showing up, not doing anything, and then at the climax it'll do something important. Anyway...

- Tornelos, Voltolos, Landlos and Victini
- Cobalon, Terrakion, Virizion, Kerudio
- Genesect


While Meloetta has two formes, she just doesn't seem important enough to be featured in a movie; she just seems like she is a legendary for the sake of having a legendary. Her and Kyurem are better off featured in the anime, unless of course being fast paced also means we get movies faster, in which case we could get more movies than before, and if that happens, then I don't really care who gets showcased.

I would see Victini been in the next film after the one to be released, it seems more of the event pokemon like Mew, Jirachi, Celebi and thats what really happened, they were the second film to be really released after the others.

I don't think we'll see all the Isshu Legendaries in the anime like Genosect and Victini. I think it would be cool to see Genosect appear in the the final Team Plasma episode. But since we have so many legendaries this time around I think that we'll get at least 4 movies.

Some of the Legendaries might get at least an hour special or at least a special if they don't get a movie. Like Heatran and that Ranger Special if the Cloud riding trio do not appear in a movie I could see them getting a special.

If we have Team Plasma,then N is going to at least get control of one of the energy dragons.Thus forcing someone else(hopefully Ash) to do the same with the other

Hopefully the legendaries in Isshu aren't treated like they were in Sinnoh where they're so incredibly common that you could see them sitting around in a Pokemon Center as if they were nothing . If Isshu really is the anime series going back to it's Kanto-roots, then the legendaries should be treated like mysterious, unknown, forbidden Gods just like they were in Kanto.

I hope that the anime takes the Pokemon black route and ash gets reshiram(was it reshiram or zekrom?) if its zekrom it pans out with ash seeing zekrom
