What do you guys think of Fairy Tail?

Yeah, I'm surprised that there's no Fairy Tail Discussion in this forum yet but let's talk about it.

How's fairy tail guild doing these days?

Personally I think it gets too much hate. I LOVE it and wish I had watched it sooner. I binged it during the lockdown of COVID and pretty much loved everything outside of one filler arc/season (Eclipse Celestial Spirit arc). I get people meme on/**** on/complain about constantly the fanservice and I get it, I do, but if you can ignore that (which I can and do) most of it is really god damn amazing.

My only real complaint is that 100 Years Quest, at least anime-wise anyway, took way too long to become a good anime. It's good now and I guess that's all that matters but it took too long to get that way.

But obviously that's just how I personally feel and it could just be literally only me.

Yeah, Fairy tail as a whole franchise never deserved it's hate and it is an awesome anime if you not count Fanservice as part of it.

and, Natsu is an good protagonist along with Lucy Heartfilia but he has flaws alright.

Love Fairy tail! Especially when I noticed that one creature from Rave Master sometimes appears. With a lot of tv shows, viewers first reflex might be to skip the credits but for Fairy tail, I actually looked forward to the beginning/ end credits most of the time. Considering how long it was running, I thought they did a really good overall job on the theme songs.

Fairy Tail is one of those anime that’s incredibly fun but deeply flawed. The cast is likable, the soundtrack goes way harder than it needs to, and the emotional moments do land when they hit. There’s a real sense of family in the guild that makes it easy to get attached.

That said, the overuse of power-of-friendship wins and fake-out deaths really kills the tension. So many fights feel predictable, and stakes rarely stick. Fairy Tail shines at hype and heart, but it struggles when it comes to consistent writing and consequences.

Still, if you’re watching for characters, vibes, and pure shonen energy, it does its job just don’t expect tight storytelling.

It's not as great as I remember it being. The fanservice was annoying and too much. But, regardless, I did like it, aside from the amount of times Lucy was forced down into nudity for no reason. =/ She deserved better.
