Background info: The Dwemer, more commonly known as dwarves, are one of the races of Tamriel. They lived underground and built massive cities underground. They were also the most intelligent race, building automatons and puzzles that still work today. But one day, a long time ago, the whole race simply... Disappeared...

So I was doing a Thieves Guild quest in Skyrim earlier, and it led me to some Dwemer ruins. Normally, I think this is annoying because of all the spiders and spheres, but this time I wondered what happened to them. I know Bethesda probably wants it to stay a mystery, but this is just speculation

I believe they went deeper underground until a time where their genius could be appreciated. However, the question here is what do YOU think?
