what do you think should happen when you compete your kanto dex

I always thought they should give you one of the legendary dogs, so that you could get 2 out of 3 without restarting or trading with Colo. Sadly, the decided to just give us a diploma...-_-'

Probably a legendary dog. So that you only need to restart one more time. Unless you have both FR and LG, meaning you can get all 3 dogs with ease.

Once you complete the Dex, the game should allow you to ride a Flying Pokemon like you ride a Surfing Pokemon. You could fly anywhere on the map just for the fun of it. That would be rewarding! Although I do like UU King's idea of being able to purchase any TM, but I would add reusable Move Tutors to that, as well.

Yeah, a diploma does suck -_- maybe a super rare TM, a special event ticket or even a legendary. Too bad it can't be like Emerald, where you get a Jhoto starter for completeing the dex.

Something that you can actually use. Or say you're having trouble obtaining a certain Pokemon to complete your National Dex, the person who gives you the diploma could give you the Pokemon you need to obtain. But that wouldn't work out.

I fondly remember the days where I thought I'll receive a Mew after capturing all 150 Pokemon.

Mew, or better, your choice of a rare ticket or map. Not happening, but it's a nice thought.

I think the if you complete kanto dex you get to have all johto pokemon.
