WHat do you want to happen to Ash and May in the BF leagues?

If Ash's tournament is just a Gym Leader-style battle wth Brandon, he's gonna win.
May... tch. No idea. The ContestShipper inside me is screaming to let Drew beat her so the two can end up traveling to D/P reigon the way they both did to Kanto and continue their bickering/maybe flirting. But I think it would be better for May to beat Drew (kicking him off the show, probably), gain a huge ego like Ash has whenever he's within a ten mile radius of an Elite Four member, and than fall flat on her face in the next match. Giving her motivation to continue on over to the next saga. Because if she wins, it's likely she wouldn't be traveling around more. Although we've never seen a main character win, so who knows?

I want Ash to win the BF. Since he'll probably end up battling Brandan for the championship, this outcome seems inevitable. It might be good if he acquired a rival at some point towards the end who goes to the D/P region next season. Hopefully not another Gary-esque character - we need something new. A girl rival would be extremely refreshing.
May I think should do a little bit better than she did in Hoenn - come in fourth, perhaps. She'll definitely beat Harley, though I hope she doesn't beat Drew, as that rivalry deserves a big saga to finish it off.

Ash may win if all he has to do is beat Brandon, since we know he's going to get all 7 symbols one way or another.
I'd like May to beat Drew this time, only because it would be a major cop-out to have her not face him. She's lost to Drew 3 times already, writers that's enough. Harley will probably lose to May again too, since I don't see them doing anything else with him.
Since I don't believe we'll ever see Robert again, I think May will lose to someone new.

It`s better for Ash to win this league because he hasn`t won any except orange league. Let him win this time..
For May.. she could improve more this time but I don`t want her to beat Drew yet. Or she won`t face him. Drew/Harely would be good but I can`t see Harely win against Drew easily

Random thought: what if the writers decided to get all crazy with us and make up a Richie version of May her her to lose to? Imagine the possibilties and the dodgy humor!

May I see more situations. i'd like scenarios like this to happen
1) May beats Drew and Loses to Harley. Drew's rivalry continues Harley's ends.
2) Drew beats Harley. Drew beats May. Drew wins GF and also beats Robert(optional). Drew's rivalry ends because he's fullfilled his dream. Before leaving he and May have one last battle and May wins that one. Harley's rivalry continues
3) Pretty much a similar situation as the first except Drew wins GF and Both of May's rivalries end.
Although I really doubt any of these situations would happen.

One thing I hope in the D/P saga that Hoenn, the BF saga and to a certain extent even Johto was an actual rival for Ash. Gary to an extent wasnt much of a rival in Johto until the end. Hoenn had Tetsuya and Masanume and those were introduced right before the Hoenn league. I wouldnt mind the writers bringing back Masanume and Tetsuya. Although I dont want Tetsuya returning and Masanume doesnt. Anyway just an off topic thought.
What about Wakana? the new girl in the new episode. If she turns out to win this contest i would say she has a good chance depending on how many ribbons she has to be May's rival in the GF. Also for Ash i so hope he can lose to Anabel or whoever is the second to last BF Brain then beat the Brain after it think Brawly. Then in a hopefully 6 on 6 vs. Brandon can beat him with help of 3 of his Oak Pokemon that we haven't seen for a bit like Heracross if not showing up in the Jungle Battle, Possibily Bulbasaur or Squirtle(we have to have some kind of a reunion), and maybe Cyndaquil or Totodile.CyberCubed said:

Likewise losing to Wakana in the GF? That's hard to imagine, since she's a rookie trainer and all. That and she'll probably only be a one-shot character too.

I was more thinking along the lines that She could do a Gary in i think Kanto First Season, there could be more contests outside the ones that May is competing in plus the fact May was a rookie coordinator IMO when she lost to Drew in the First GF plus i would love to see a Rookie take out a veteran.CyberCubed said:

I'd like to see a few characters return near the end of the saga. The girl from the Breeding center ep could make an appearance, in a contest or watching May in the Grand festival to get tips, being one.

That makes me wonder. If May improves in this Grand Festival compared to the last one, she'll have to come in the top four at least. But would the writers let her do better than Ash? He's never come higher than top eight. So maybe she's going to do exactly the same as last time. :/

Well she actually did do better than Ash. She came in top 4 (May vs. Drew/Robert vs. someone else).
If she doesn't win this one, I'd say she stays in Top 4 again.
