What ever happened to...?

I was thinking today about moves that hit 2-5 times in a turn (eg spike cannon, fury attack) and I thought: what ever happened to Barrage? No pokemon I have seen in the 3rd gen games, maybe even the 2nd gen ones too, has barrage. It seems to have disappeared.

Are there any other things that have not withstood the test of time and died along with the Kabutoes and the Omanytes?

Barrage? I don't seem to remember that move. What type was it?

Barrage is a normal-type move. Exeggcute starts with that attack. Exeggcute, Exeggutor, and Smeargle are the only Pokemon capable of getting that move.

I'm pretty sure all the moves are still here. If you have any doubts check the Attackdex.

I used to think that they got rid of Barrage, Fissure and Sky Attack, then I saw that they were on some Pokemon that I never even use. They are pretty useless anyway.

it seems strange that they took moves away from some pokemon. like no more pidgeot sky attack. not that i'd use it, it's just wierd is all...

Yes, we know. Smeargle can learn any move with Sketch.
But Smeargle isn't any better than Ditto. Hmm... I'd like to have Mew and scare my friends with the last resort: Transform!

That was a little off-topic. But yeah, I have noticed this, I barely remember some moves. Like Sky Attack for example.
Hmm. Even though I clearly remember it, I do not see many Vine Whipping pokemon. Only ones I can remember are Bulbasaur and Bellsprout.
